Of course they are exotic, but they arent supposed to completely outgun other exotics. If a thorn or last word out guns a mida multi tool long range (happens to me a lot) its kinda a joke. I shouldnt have to use thorn so I wont be at a severe disadvantage in Trials. Exotics should be on par with other exotics giving advantages over others at certain situations with thier perks not an advantage every situation. What they meant by snipers is that they dont want you cheesing fights by staying out of it the entire time. (For example nuking skolas and evoiding the entire fight) even if gjallarhorn is nerfed it will no doubt still be the best weapon in game (not including the blast radius buff that all launchers will get) we still dont know how much its getting nerfed in fact i did have a rare moment when i dodged a ghorn but the entire wolf pack rounds got me which happened once so i havent had much of a bad time dealing with ghorn (yes im a little sad gally is getting nerfed). Just dont get mad that they're throwing away cheese. When the nerfs come ill just adapt like everyone instead of crying. I finally get a chance to use my mida multi tool fairly

But you can't deny the fact that it's ridiculous for a hand canon to have the same range as a scout rifle which is its polar opposite I.e the last word and thorn. Hand cannons should not be able to out range anything but the shotguns since they're meant for close to medium range combat

I laugh at these posts! Really anybody who enters the Crucible will see that Thorn is being used by most players, which they will in turn use Thorn to gain some type of advantage, it's going to get nerfed, if the top 1% of crucible players are saying it need a nerf, than it's going to get nerfed like Suros Regime, not because it was OP but it was over used by everyone, especially after Xur sold it! I don't care what gun gets the new top ranking, it's time for a Meta change in the Crucible! If you can't use a Legendary or Rare, than you are a scrub and don't deserve the kills you get with Thorn is my Opinion!

The thorn is a hard weapon bounty to complete. The thorn should be left alone for that reason. Most of us worked hard to get the thorn. While others just want it either handed to them or made harmless. It is an exotic weapon for a reason

The thorn is a crutch for mediocre players to feel like they're good. Its incredibly easy to get kills with. Don't nerf the damage, nerf the range, stability, reload, and magazine size. Bring it back to what it was. An amazing weapon that only did work in a skilled players hands. Anyone who thinks the thorn SHOULDN"T be nerfed probably isn't very good in PvP and doesn't want their crutch removed. Just remember when you use the thorn you are contributing to bungies numbers tracker, and eventually itll get a SUROS nerf. We all see how well that went down. Learn to get good with other weapons or risk having to learn another weapon class overnight when the nerf hits. Your choice.
