Christianity is NOT a religion of peace
I lol every time someone tries to tell me that. The link above shows just a few of the many horrible acts committed in the name of Christianity, including:
- The Crusades
- The Witch hunts
- Slavery
- The KKK
- The torture of non-believers
If you want to be a christian, that's fine, but don't pretend that your religion is all "peace and love".

6 답변All of those examples were a long time ago, if you are a Christian, you have the power to change the world. Granted, Christianity hasn't always been a religion of peace and love in the past. I think, it depends on the person. If you say you are a Christian and accept Jesus into your heart, then you do nothing different, you will not be showing people peace and love and God's infinite mercy. You must accept Jesus into your heart before you can show people the true power of God's love and mercy. It doesn't have to be anything big or extravagant, just the little everyday things, just do them with a smile.

Every religion has sects that act brashly thinking they are working for their God. That, however, does not make said religions promote violence. It is merely what happens when people blindly follow someone who misinterprets -- or uses -- the written word of said religion.

17 답변Just because people carry out bad deeds in the name of christianity doesn't mean the religion is evil. If i commit mass murder in a church "in the name of atheism" does that make atheism a religion of mass murder???

Stalin's Russia=60 million deaths Mao Zedong's China=70+ million deaths Therefore atheism = the biggest cause of mass murder in all of history. Show me where in the teachings of Christ did he permit the atrocities listed above. Thanks.
