Weapons!!!!! Bungie clearly don't know how real life weapons work
How on earth does a pistol or 'hand cannon' deliver more damage and range than semi automatic scout rifle!
The barrel length determines accuracy and range depending on the caliber of round you fire! A pistol or 'hand cannon' is accurate to about 25 meters! Rifles, with correct barrel rifling and weighted rounds can hit a target a mile away (1600 meters)
Sort your weapons out bungie!!!!!
A pistol should not be out performing a rifle, a pistol is a quick go-to secondary weapon, not a primary killing machine

1 답변You're completely right! I mean why should a pistol be able to deliver unrealistic amounts of damage to giant turtle soldiers or the son of a God wielding a life-devouring sword. God if only the weapons matched the realism of the rest of the game.

Well, first off, destiny is set in the future. I'm sure the bullets are huge and have some type of gyroscopic stabilization. They don't curve down with gravity at any range on any planet, they just lose momentum, so that could be the case.

2 답변25meters? First off you are a terrible shot or use a gun with <4in barrel. With a 5in barrel, Beretta 92a1(4.91in), 50 yes is an easy shot. These hand CANNONS have massive length barrels looking like 10"+ plus the caliber is huge, like a desert eagle .50cal ie sniper size massive damage is a given. Besides future? increases in technology? Make sense?

It would have been a lot easer to say. Can will be please nerf hand cannon range. At the moment the gun is too good at all range profiles. Frankly snipers should be primarys and handcannons secondary that hit harder and a much smaller range. But heaven forbid bungie admit mistakes

I some what agree, but mile long shots would be sniper territory not scout. A scout would have an effective range of maybe 600 yards. And some hand guns like the fn 5.7 have an effective range of 100 yards in the right hands.
