We all know Destiny, oh yes we do, the grinding; the RNG, the flop of a story, the crucible of thorns... But destiny is such a great platform, a base. It has so much potential it could become legend. Today I wish to share my thoughts on what can be added/changed in the game to improve it.
Currently I have finished typing up about 5/6th of what I intend to. So watch this space!
I'm going to format this in such a way as to make debate easy, the post will act as a table of contents and an intro, I will write all of my thoughts in categories - as comments to this post. I will link them to the post and you can read what you want and ignore what you don't. To discuss a particular subject please comment on my comment to keep it

25 답변작성자: A Little Birdie 6/21/2015 7:00:02 PM"Player Interaction" This topic will cover more than just player to player interaction, but also how one player interacts with the game. It will start some ideas that I will flesh out later with my "UI and base mechanics" topic (to be posted probably tomorrow) To start with let's talk player to player. We all know voice chat wasn't implemented (for some reason) and we all know we want it! Here's some ideas on how we can interact with each other 1) P2P
1.1 proximity voice chat (saw that coming didn't ya?) - this truly should have been in the base game, why it wasn't? I don't know. Now I know some people are afraid of harassment via proximity chat - that's why It needs to be optional. Just like in PvP right now, we should be able to press select, then right or left on our D-pad and join social chat, if there's someone spamming you "hey, hey! Do lvl 30 POE with me!" Then you should be able to select them (just like to inspect) and mute them specifically. But what if you want people coming up to you and asking for that?? --- segwayyyyyy

1.2 -in game lfg- bungie left this out saying "we'll find you enemies, not friends" (paraphrased) but what about This bungie? - while in the tower or other social spaces, you can go into your menu and select an option "LFG on/off" then a drop down menu appears and you select the activity and difficulty - eg - "VoG hard" what will this do? While in any social space an icon will appear above your head with a small visual representation of the activity; when someone selects you it will show a message "this player is looking for people to play VoG on lvl 30" you could then talk to them about it and set it up. Matchmaking on endgame material sucks (you know what it's like on the strikes) - this way you can make your own decisions on who to have join you

1.3 trading!! Lots of people want this, but just throwing it in willy nilly would not be the best idea- here's an interesting way, soul bound items. You equip an exotic and it is linked to your psn/gt, you can't trade it. If you don't - you can trade it, but it has a value; and you can only trade for things of equal value. As an example you could trade legendaries for 20 motes of light, exotics for 30. This is just an example, the exchange rate could be anything. Doing it this way though would allow players to still "earn" their trades and give the other end more motes/strange coins or whatever to play with.
2) fire teams
2.1 Fire teams should mean more- and I'm going to Segway into some strange things here so bear with me; a lot of this is for immersion and nothing else--- enemies should actively register fire teams, both in patrol and in strikes; they should actively attempt to shut down the fire team leader. To counteract this the fire team leader should have certain extras at his disposal - for example placing waypoints , marking targets, and upgradable buffs.

2.2 the leader should be able to place waypoints - let's say this, you're defending the confluxes on VoG; you could place waypoints near one or two of them, labeled A B (or something like that) this would create an easier flow of battles - also marking targets, you should be able to select enemies just like players, and mark them - focus on this guy! - this guy has arc watch his attacks! This would make strategy and communication easier.

2.3 leader buffs - I propose an entire new equipment slot on your character, that allows you to equip small but permanent buffs while in range to the fireteam leader. - things like 10% damage reduction or 10% gun damage increase. Exotic buffs could have special abilities for example "attacking a target the leader has buffed increases damage by an additional 5%" or "standing near a waypoint charges shields faster" these buffs apply only when the leader is alive, if he dies there needs to be a cool down before they take effect again. 5minutes per se. The teamwork and strategy involved in implementing this idea would be great.
3) the player and their ships
3.1 ships should better represent you, and have a use other than a loading screen. For starters - purely aesthetic, your ship should bear your emblem on it. Or your clans emblem. Your ship should be able to be customized (with limits), maybe a shader system like our armor?

3.2 fireteam ships, now bear with me. What if we implemented larger ships, cruiser class ships, that could hold 3 or 6 fireteam members, when joining the fireteam it would say "would you like to board xX420swagblazeitXx's ship?" Now there has to be a point to these ships other than "yay we're going into battle together!" And to this I say - the leadership buffs only apply to those that flew in with you (refer to 2.3); if you fly in with a full fireteam the leadership buffs take full effect. These cruiser class ships should be EXTREMELY rare or expensive. (Maybe only available after vanguard rank 20 - something along those lines)

3.3 your ship should play a part in some missions, similar to my "vanguard artillery strike" idea, in certain missions your ghost could fly in your ship for support, this could open up for weapon upgrades on your ship allowing for more customization and immersion
My next topic will go into detail about how to keep the theme of the game, and still work in its deep lore and wonderful grimoire. Stay tuned! Don't forget to like the topic and give it a bump so bungie sees it. This was probably some of my more drastic changes, though it all seems doable and would really increase the theme of "teamwork" in this game xD

59 답변작성자: A Little Birdie 6/24/2015 5:27:17 AM"The Open world" Destiny has a great world, it is beautiful to look at, but what substance is there to it? What reason do I have to explore? And why does it feel so linear? 1) exploration:
1.1 - for those of us that like exploration, we need a reason. Why give us big patrol maps with nothing on them? We should add in new 'events' to properly flesh out the world, For example; you are exploring the cosmodrome, running around killing the fallen when your ghost tells you "there is a distress beacon nearby, let's check it out". You stumble on over there and clear the place out. Your ghost examines the ship and tells you "he came from the moon, apparently he found something in phogath's chamber - something we missed." This isn't a quest, this isn't a mission, now - next time you goto that area, you'll be able to go through a new door, find a new spot; kill the witch that brought phogath to life? It doesn't matter whats there to be honest, but you got there through exploration

1.2 - changing world it's all static. Nothing moves, nothing changes; and that causes us to lose connection to the game, is anything we're doing having an effect? Bungie, add in just Small details, like a thank you for x. You've just come back from a patrol and the cryptarch says "the cosmosdrome is a safer place thanks to you" have the world react to where you are and what you just didl

1.3 loot, something ingame (the hidden ghosts are great, but unless you go read them on your computer, there's no reward) - add in places that you have to climb to, or jump to that just have an item on the ground. Not some chest with engrams we all know are useless by now. Not glimmer, a shader; an emblem?
2 Our presence
2.1 - we can't interact with anything truly. We should be able to open doors ourself. Move boxes around, small details like that make us feel like we're in the world, not just running through it

2.2 enemy reaction. I love the combat in this game, but the enemies don't react other than "there he is! Shoot!" Where's the calling for backup?? Where's the true ai? The small scripted events like a wall of phalanx not charging, but just defending a key target, everything just runs straight at you. We don't feel like we're in the game that way.

2.3 npcs outside the tower! This is truly a no brainer - I feel so empty out here, why has the vanguard not backed our efforts with outposts? I've killed every enemy on Venus 100 times, but the vanguard still hasn't set up a perimeter? Even on our landing zone? Wouldn't it add to the world to be running through hordes of vex and finally arrive at a safe zone? The vanguard set up a wall and turrets, they have supplies there. Ammo synths, basic weapons, armor, unique shaders? "The Venus defense emblem" Brother Vance also suggested that these "safe zones" be the only place you could go to orbit. And one better is that you can land at any of them, rather than just the one point of starting the patrol.
3. Mechanics.
3.1 while I touched upon mechanics a little bit (the distress beacon), wouldn't it be interesting to have different mechanisms in the actual world? VoG is my favorite thing because there is true thinking involved, unique mechanics. Why not spread some of these things else where? Not those exact things, but let's try this - a jumping puzzle on Venus, you have to get to the other side under fire, the vex have stationary guns protecting the other side, once you get over there you can cut the power to them, shoot out a fuse box? Just these little things that make us think make the game 20x more in depth

3.2 - teammates - I get it, you want is to play with other people, but without voice chat, how can I? (That's my next point) in the meantime what is ALL THE OTHER GUARDIANS DOING? The vanguard sends us out on missions, where are the others? Npcs that jump in and help on missions now and the would be great, even just specific parts, "we're going to get you to sepiks prime guardian, and we'll make sure no one flanks you" so these npcs stay out there while you're fighting and they're yelling at you "another wave! They've got shrapenel launchers! HURRY up, we're taking casualties!" And if you take too long, a wave of fallen push through the door and ambush you.

3.3 open world proximity voice chat. Add it. That is all. Don't you guardians want to say things to each other as you pass by? Or even say "thanks" to someone that helped you fight off a band of wolves???
An addition from II Shadow Different Vehicles https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/132380341/0/0 This is all I have right now, next on the list is PvP, I'll discuss balancing, mechanics, supers, maps and playlists.

1 답변I'm looking through these ideas and they seem pretty fun, if you ask me. A few seem to have been implemented into the game as well.

36 답변"ENEMIES!" Why caps? Because these are the sole purpose of us playing; they are the darkness, they are the enemy! They hate us and we hate them! I like the variety of enemies in this game, and TTK reskins honestly don't bother me, I like them too. What I don't like? AI, the lack of scripted encounters, and last but not least - idle behavior. 1) idle behavior
1.1 I start with this because I am focusing on immersion. And frankly running into an area where all the enemies are just standing, walking in circles breaks immersion for me. Good examples of what in talking about is the vex worshipping the black heart, or the hive wizards sapping the light of the travelers shard. But why is every other enemy standing and walking in circles? No need to talk to one another? No need to sit down? They don't examine their weapons? Add a few idle animations..

1.2 what else could I possibly say about this? Well here's one. Tying into my strike idea - why does the enemy rarely prepare for you? Once or twice they do, but when they know you're coming - where is their defenses? Why are the still just walking in circles. And this ties into my next point
2) scripted encounters.
2.1 imagine this scene. You're walking down Venus, to the point you first meet the vex, you remember how when you come back and the vex and fallen are fighting? Wouldn't it be grand if they were having more than just a foot battle? The fallen could call in air raids! The vex could ambush with their teleportation, but they never do any of that. They walk out of their spawn and straight into a line of fire.

2.2 public events are great, kinda. They were great, but after a while they became boring, why? For a few reasons - they always happen in one spot (not just start, but stay in one spot!) why not have that fallen walker trudge it's way across the moon? We have to chase it down before it can get away. Movement adds excitement to these sorts of events, the other reason - lack of dynamics Defend the warsat? Why not defend the gate to the city? Why not this - you start out in the field, and when the event goes live, you get rushed! The fallen are charging the city!!! Hold down these points guardian! Now let's say you do, you hold it down for a minute, then "push them back! Cease their assault!" You have to capture a point from them. It becomes a game of territory, and you have to keep pushing them back until you get to the ketch they came from, and a baron comes out to fight you! On the other end, if you lose the initial point "fall back! Regroup guardians! Hold them off!" You have to defend another point, only now - there's more enemies; and the have walkers. Yes - plural. (Maybe multiple weaker ones) they push you all the way back! And the city is even firing long range cannons down on them! Oh the excitement!
3) AI. This is ultimately what will make or break the pve combat experience. How smart is your enemy?
3.1 the enemy seems to properly utilize cover, but does not understand how to advance on your position - suppressing fire. Or throw a grenade then run up. I propose improving their advancing strategies (not to insanity of course) make them truly try to get in your face. (Not all enemies of course) give enemies a dodge roll into and out of cover, or at least a good sidestep or something!

3.2 command. The chain version, why is it that when I kill their captain; they just ignore it? Not just that, but why do they act the same when he is alive?? Is the captain not strategizing? You should increase the AI difficulty based on proximity to higher ranks. Give us a reason to take them out! And not just that, but when they do die, the enemy squad should react, they go into a frenzy? Or they retreat? Maybe they cower behind cover??

3.3 team work, the best example in game of AI is the cabal. And even they need to work together better, a wall of phalanx slowly approaching you; the my don't separate And when one goes down they close the gap, when one slows down they all do, other enemies shouldn't skirt around this phalanx wall to shoot you, they should wait patiently until either the wall is gone or they can break off to the side, of course this should be implemented along side the chain of command. A group of cabal led by a centurion should be a force to be reckoned with, not target practice...

3.4 - Agro, important to any mmo. Which of your team does the enemy attack? I've noticed some decent Agro mechanics in the game already, but what id like to see is individual races attacking differently. Imagine if hive were more inclined to attack weaker targets? Then our titan friends would have to step inbetween us and the wall of bullets coming our way! How bout if the vex tried To divide and conquer? They Agro all of you evenly, but try to get inbetween you all. The fallen want to take out our leaders?! What if the fallen focused on the fire team leader? Yes; the fire team would have a point to making x person leader then!
This is a harder subject to put into words, I've tried my best - tell me what you think?

37 답변작성자: A Little Birdie 7/28/2015 8:29:16 AMWe have come to a topic that has been brought up and then beaten to death, but it is an important topic, some might say the most important topic. "Story/grimoire immersion" I will not be using my spoiler format this time as I believe all I have to say needs to come together as one coherent thought. I have thought long and hard about how to improve the storytelling in this game (yes! There is a story!) - I went over ways of melding the missions together already, so I won't discuss that. Firstly bungie, we feel disconnected with this game and it's lore because you decided to separate the two - I have a solution for you. And I truly wish for you to listen to this if nothing else in this entire thread! Your grimoire is actually great. I love reading it, but I understand where the player base, where YOUR community is coming from when they say they don't want to come to the app or goto their computer for the story. Dialogue. Get your voice actors ready. I believe every piece of grimoire should be attached to dialogue. How to put it in the game though? - leave your grimoire system as is, it keeps a theme of exploration and earning, but whenever we unlock a new card, or another hidden ghost; add their dialogue to an npc. Any npc. If I go up to the future war cult guy and have grimoire associated with him unlocked I should be able to ask him about it. Add it to your menu, at the bottom below the items. "How did the future war cult come to be?" And your character will read off its respective grimoire, or simply just some lines you wrote. I should be able to go upto the Cryptarch and ask him "Tell me about rasputin?" And he will tell the tale of rasputins battle with the black heart. Of course this requires us to unlock the card first. You keep your reward for exploration, and we get our lore. easy to access ingame. Now the actual story telling is set in stone, I don't expect you to go back and start from the beginning again, but I believe you will better deliver in future updates. To be completely honest guys, this is the best I have come up with since the launch of the game. With minimal effort (and a sizable download) we can have our lore and our story - or at least some of it! Bump this so bungie can see, speak with me guardians -A little birdie. another possible solution/add on https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/142311692/0/0/1

We need infusion for all "paid beta" armor and legendary weapons. You may exclude Gjallarhorn and VoG weapons if you must, but I don't see why my hard fought Gheleons Demise or Efridets Spear or LDRs had to be left behind. And tear down the paywall for none TTK players! We want to participate in IB and ToO. We paid more than 100€£$ and now everything is null and void!? Do that and I may consider buying TTK and other DLC. Until then I play ESO. Bye.
