You're not good if you use Thorn
You're not.. just wanted to clear that up.
Edit 1: Thorn is still a gun for the sheep and the masses. Requiring the least amount of skill of all the exotics.
Edit 2: read some of the replies. Clearly I'm a hypocrite because Ive used thorn and now I make the claim it is an unbalanced weapon (requiring little skill). It means Im familiar with the gun and can make educated claims about it.
EDIT 3: HAHAHA salty thorn nerds Im insulting the only gun they get kills with. If any Thorn people want to play me in rumble on xbox 360. ill use any gun you choose and destroy you :D
Edit 4: Saw a forum post called "Game of Thorns". It couldnt be more accurate. It used to be Suros, now its Thorn.
Edit 5: Hopefully my post will wake some people up and get them to use a gun other than Thorn.
Edit 6: My main point in all of this is that Thorn is overused and I really want to see less of it and more of other guns. Its reasonable.
Edit final one: This post has given me a very good insight in to the people who play this game. Alot of you are very sad individuals

Making blanket statements will garner rage. I use Thorn in crucible because nearly everyone else does. When one weapon can completely dominate, you are smarter using that OP weapon. The object should always be to play smarter not harder. Does it make sense to use a less effective weapon just to prove a point? No. If however, one were skilled enough to always hit their shots and avoid Thorn poison, then THAT individual can all out Thorn users as being bad. I use to rage on shot gun users, but now resort to it out of necessity. Some maps cry for shot gun, some for sniper. These arguments are common to all FPS games.

I think you have a fair point but I don't think you spoke about this so called problem in the correct way. Maybe explaining why this gun is so used and suggesting reasonable nerfs would be a better way to go since it would get you a lot less hate and more of a discussion.

Lol. I'm great at Pvp and I use every gun but thorn. But, I realized a few weeks ago I had an old unused one on my old character. I just got done leveling it up and my God but the hate mail is OP. If you think it's bad when your average guy gets a hold of thorn, wait until you come across someone like me with it 😂😂

I agree Thorn is overused, and I use it myself. But I have practiced against other guardians to land all headshots and kill my foe without a scratch on me. I use Mida-Multitool as well. So I'm kindof bored of Thorn. I try and do well and learn every weapon and how they perform on the battlefield.

11 답변He is right you know!! If you people are so great pvp players, use something different!! Whatever you people say, thorn combines too many good stats and is the easiest gun to get kills in pvp at the moment. That's why sooo many people use it!!

1 답변Is it overpowered? At the moment, absolutely. If you own it should you use it? Absolutely. No reason to give yourself a handicap out of principal. Until it's addressed by Bungie, there is no reason why you shouldn't use it if you own it. You know others will be.

I just finished the thorn bounty last night because I had no interest in getting the gun. (Not to mention I suck ass at crucible) with that being said, I played with it some today, it's a great gun. I get precision shots I feel like I didn't earn. I'm not the best destiny player, or the most skilled, but this gun is ridiculous.

A guy I teamed up with randomly in trials last night took a look at my 365 Devil You Know and asked if I had any better weapons. Then told our other teammate I was using "just legendaries." We did alright and they were cool people, just funny that was his initial reaction. Thorn doesn't make anyone a pro, but it certainly helps. Nor does it have the quickest time to kill so your ability to aim is still most important.
