Could someone answer this. There is an 80$ version which includes a buncha stuff, but I'm interested in the exotic class marks. And the 40$ dlc which comes with 1 year shader sparrow emblem combo. Well I want both the shader emblem sparrow combo for being a 1 year player and the exotic marks. So do I have to buy both? For 120? Why can't I buy the 80$ with the exotic marks and still get the stuff for being a 1 year player?

You forget that these people will have nothing, will have no weapons and may not even be able to play HALF of the stuff will because of your level advantage. Yet you dont see it that way do you? You're just in a blind rage oved someone who gets everything for 60, yet has to do so much and put so many hours into the game. At least you will be able to go straight into the taken king expansion and not worry about having to do the tedious missions and a strikes of destiny

1 답변It's outdated content. They can't sell it at full price. It's basically obsolete. Plus do you really want to have a bunch of ppl on your friend's list who can't do the same activities due to lack of dlc. Who is realistically going to spend 120 bux upfront?

Ok think of it like this; does your cable company give you better rates the longer you are a customer? In fact they increase your rates while giving new customers better deals. Companies are always more focused on bringing in new customers because they more likely to stick around, where long time customers (like many of you who're complaining) have a greater tendency to leave (which many of you are threatening.)

On the flip side, if Bungie listened to this nonsense, and charged new players $140 in September, no one would buy it. All these posts forget how basic business or economics works. You have to remember that when TTK launches, the base game, TDB and HoW will have far less effective value because they will no longer endgame. People will just do the story missions up until they can participate in TTK activities. They are including the other content for compatibility, not content. If you haven't felt you've gotten value from the time you've spent in Destiny thus far, why do you care? You shouldn't by The Taken King anyway if that's the case. And if you feel you have gotten value, than you have gotten value that a new player won't have.

To everyone calling destiny an MMO and saying this is standard mmo practice. Have any of you even played an MMO, or do you just wiki MMO's and then proceed to talk out your a$$? Destiny is not, nor will it ever be a MMO. And as for this 80/60$ nonsense. This dlc is way overpriced. Face it this is Dlc not an expansion. No dlc warrants this price point.

I ain't even tripping about it. Honestly those people will never get to experience the times all the og players had. Sure it's a lot cheaper, but buying the game early was well worth it to me. Plus I need something to spend money on.

39 답변You know this is how MMO's release expansions, right? Ya know, the kind of games that Destiny models it's content release model on, with good reason? A model that has been around for 15 years? Or would you rather spend ~$400 just to play the latest World or Warcraft expansion? Just be happy that you got to play all of these expansions when they were current, and be happy that new players will be more enticed to join in on the Destiny journey. No new player is going to pay ~$160 just to play with their friends in the latest and greatest content. This is what MMO's do, this is what Destiny will do. It's a better model than the alternative; where we get no new players because those players would have to pay almost $200, and soon more, just to play with their friends.

Gotta provide incentive for the new players to buy the game, in full. The people who are "loyal" and have been with the game since day 1 will pay whatever they need to pay to continue playing new content. New players aren't gonna want to fork over $60 for the base game, and then also buy TDB and HoW BEFORE they're even allowed to play TTK. Yea but while everybody else is grinding their lives away on the old content we get to jump straight into TTK. The only thing in upset about is that we have to buy the $80 collectors edition if we want the new emotes class items and shaders. That is some grade A+ bullshit.
