If my theory is correct then ttk marks the start of year 2 which will render year 1 weapons useless. This includes gally and thorn. Kinda upset cuz I just now got gally and won't really be able to appreciate it for as long as others have. What do you think? Should bungie continue to allow ascension for old weapons, especially crota weapons given that it's hive again?
Edit: most likely exotics will continue to be ascended but maybe legendaries left behind? The etheric light says up to year 1.

작성자: KimHasselager 6/16/2015 7:45:40 AMI'm wondering if they'll make new weapons that start off with 365 damage, and gear at vendors or other way easy farmable at 42 light... And wondering if they'll make etheric light still valueable to ascend gear etc. So new gear starts with 365, but needs etheric light still, to be ascended to e.g. 400 dmg?? - In which case I'm gonna be stacking up those etheric light now instead.. Old gear that has been ascended to 365 already, needs another etheric light to be ascended to year 2 ( 400 dmg) Old gear that is at e.g. <300 dmg still would of course keep their chance to be ascended. Furthermore, I seriously wish/hope they would let older weapons stay with the vendors with their current stats, and then simply ADD new stuff... So we can get more choices - which of course would still mean older stuff would need 2 lights to be fully maxed instead of just 1.. Otherwise, we'd better start purchasing this current gear already... ( Red hand, fulcrum, tracking launcher and so on )

2 답변...They wouldn't make all that time and money we spent null. That's just nonsensical. Of course we'll still be able to use old weapons, because their plan is for our characters to carry over into new games.

1 답변Wut? Those lazy Bungie code monkeys won't put the effort to make a whole host of new weapon assets for us to use in the second year. Not when it far easier to hide a new type of magic bean behind a grind wall and just keep on reusing old gear. That's not to say I don't want to keep using old gear, as I do. Ascending old gear is a marriage of convenience for both us and them, our great weapons don't become obsolete, and Bungie don't have to do any work (which we all know they hate doing as the past year has shown us) So it's a win win all round.
