Made This Thread Back in a time when I was seriously let down by Year 1 Destiny. I protested The Taken King every chance I got, until a friend of mine kindly file shared his code to me to help him with raids. I came back only the and I'm glad I did. Right now, I've thoroughly enjoyed this new DLC, and my faith in this games future has been rekindled. Crucible still sucks but thats only one of a few minor complaints I have about the game.
I'm not ashamed of what I've said in the past so I wont delete it. This threads just going to exist because I believe that if you delete your post, that means you regret what you say, and I don't regret what I say. However for now, I'm liking the Taken King.
"Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me"
Well not this time. I will admit you are clever Bungie, but you're not fooling me with the Taken King. Are you seriously asking $40 for DLC content? The base Destiny game is barely worth $40 to begin with, but now your pulling this crap with us again? For starters, your track record for keeping promises is a bit muddy. For $40, you'll give us 1 new area to explore, 1 new subclass for each Player class, new weapons , new enemies, missions and a raid.... for 2/3rd's the price of a brand new Destiny game. Yet if theres anything we've learned from the past, it's that you'll deliver less content again, and the cycle will continue. Not in the very least to mention the PS4 Exclusives AND the BS Legendary Edition. The only thing that's Become Legend in Destiny is your greed, Bungie.
I've been a loyal fan of Destiny up until now. I've done everything from VoG to ToO, in a repetitive manner of insanity. But this is the last straw, once Oryx lands to destroy The Tower once and for all, I'm packing my Ghost and Gjallahorn, then flying my 'Hildian Seeker' to galaxies unknown. Maybe then I can find some more sh!t to do.
To all the other guardians, I ask you this. Are you really going to take this abuse?
EDIT*
I'm not asking to make TTK free, I'm just pointing out that $40 is to high a price, for what will be less content than what we perceive. Not to mention the PS4 exclusives(which aren't that big a deal, but come one Bungie)
It's been two months since this went up.Things have changed and after all that has occurred within the last two months, I have a new decision.
Instead of not buying the Taken King, I've decided that my time is better spent playing just about anything else, so I personally won't be playing anymore future Destiny content or past content.
I could list every issue wrong with this game (it's quite extensive) but Destiny is simply just a cash grab, mobile game, gambling simulator, and its boring, even with new content.
Was the game fun? Yes. Did I enjoy it for the most part? Yes. Did I spend a large amount of time playing it(and with friends)? Yes.
But with the the new patches, lack of effort in future content, sporadic weapon buffs/nerfs and THE REPETITIVE GAMEPLAY, I'm simply tired of Bungies soulless attitude towards us.
I tried playing the other day and I actually had more fun pulling an MST3K type commentary of their lackluster cutscenes.
Destiny was too ambitious for its own good. It may have been a commercial success (I haven't read the sales numbers) and it may be fun for many people to do the same shit over and over again, but for this "Guardian", it's time to retire the old Fatebringer and Gjallehorn (or whatever the hell its been reduced to).
Me not playing Destiny anymore won't "effect" anyone and I realize no one really cares, but mark my words, you will eat those word against me and One day, you too will leave Destiny.
i share a similar feeling. i think bungie got too comfortable with us overpaying for content. till TTK, i had thought, maybe they're overcharging because they're planning on giving us "free" content. but more and more, i'm seeing a they'll-buy-whatever-we-put-in-their-faces arrogance that just doesn't sit right me.

3 답변I won't buy ttk. My good buddies I convinced to buy this game don't play it anymore. I convinced them to play because I thought we'd all still enjoy ourselves, the 3 of us still. They don't 1) have enough skill for trials and 2) don't have time for Poe -blam!- you bungie: -blam!- you so hard I'm so sick of this shit and your over hyping cock sucking Sony bullshit. You don't even know what legendary means anymore. You took a name and muddied the shit out of it. -blam!- you. -blam!- you!

It's an abusive relationship. The dark below raid was a huge let down. Vog was in my opinion the best content in destiny. Well worth the money paid. PoE and tdb were very weak. No mystery about them and didn't really require team work, except for the harder levels. I remember when the dark below dropped, a week later everyone was soloing the lamps and the bridge. That's half the content. No one did that with the vault of glass, except for atheon and templar but that was patched pretty fast. People still cheese the dB raid. Fortunately for me, I've learned my lesson and have moved on. I still think destiny was an amazing game and keep looking for reasons to come back. But I don't really like the direction destiny is taking and can't stand behind bungies vision.

2 답변For the number of hours most of us got out of Destiny, we're lucky they didn't charge a monthly fee. We are getting MMO-type hours with no MMO fee. I'm ok with that. I've played a decent amount of $12/month subscription games and Destiny holds my attention better than a lot of them.

3 답변We are getting ripped off if we own the game and first 2 DLCs. Not sure why people can't see that. Noobs pay $60 for Destiny, 2 DLCs and TTK ( valued at $40). Veterans pay $40 for TTK. So Destiny and 2 DLCs should be sold for $20 total which is major depreciation, because the value of TTK has to be $40. I demand to see Destiny sold for $10, and both DLCs to be sold for $5 each, or a $20 bundle. TTK should be $40 for everyone or it's a rip off. What would make sense is: Noobs $80 for everything Vets $40 for TTK OR Noobs $60 everything Vets $20 for TTK How is this not a rip off?

1 답변"You are entitled to nothing"~ Frank Underwood If you don't want to pay for something then don't pay for it. Vote with your wallet and not your mouth *fingers?*. As for me and it seems a shit ton of people I'll be fighting me a Hive God in 3 months being the ugliest -blam!-ing solar Titan in existence. I'm voting with my wallet to continue funding this game so later mate.

8 답변You people are the reason this community sucks. You bitch and moan about everything. You are entitled little brats, who want everything handed to you with absolutely no effort on your part. The world does not revolve around you. It doesn't matter if you picked up destiny last week or been playing since the alpha, you are not entitled to anything from Bungie. If you can't deal with how they design THEIR game, then shut up and leave already. The game is not nearly as bad as you morons think it is. Destiny has its problems but it is still fun to play, otherwise you crybabies wouldn't play everyday.

10 답변OK to address the first thing the psn exclusives are no more bungie signed a one year contract so no more exclusives so you can shut the -blam!- up about that also it adds 2 more areas more strikes key word strikes= more than 1 also new subclasses also a new raid a new species aka the taken a new boss also new exotics new wepons new armor new armor shaders also bungie is working its ass off to get new content for us the gamers also they actually help there gamers and are invloved in the destination y community and further more are probably reading the forms now and going to actually listen unlike you who thinks that oh bungie is just trying to rip us off mabey show some respect and stop critizising bungie because you don't agree with the cost also making that big of a game/exspantion takes time and for them to continue to produce great content they have to charge is 59.99 for a legendary edition and 40 for a blank copy and 79.99 for a collectors edition so before you start critizising things think of what they have to do for us also they just want to make us happy and keep us wanting to play there game that they spent so much time making day and night taking time away from there family if they have any to make us all happy Also shout out to Mark Noseworthy, Eric Osborne, Matt Zitterman, Luke Smith, Michael Zak,and the rest of the destiny team all for a game that I find is as close to perfect as any game has gotten and again thank you from the bottom of my hart for such a great game

3 답변I think of it like this, if it has twice the content of HoW and TDB then it's worth the 40$
