I was just thinking about it earlier. Wouldn't it be nice to have some endgame/raid boss that isn't a strategic, step by step battle at some point? I like Atheon, and Crota was okay. Skolas at least follows us around the map. But I have something new in mind. I think it'd be neat to have some sort of player sized enemy... maybe even a guardian, who fought like guardians do. Fast, agressive, lots of abilities, essentially a PvE endboss that fought against a raid group as a PvP enemy would. A smart, fast AI.
Imagine a raid boss that came running out you, no holding back, attacking you as a PvP opponent would, only with a large health bar. One that you can't kill in a few shots.
I think that's a bit more action packed and fun than the planning and strategizing that went into making Atheon and Crota a challenge.
What are your thoughts?
EDIT: Wow, didn't expect such a response! Cool to see everyone's ideas. I've noticed most naysayers have obviously not read the whole post. Some of you have even corrected yourselves. Just know that it kind of makes you look like a fool if you respond blindly. Also, no, Psion Flayers are not an excuse. That's not what I'm talking about. Yeah, they move, but they still stay in respective areas, and they aren't much of a threat.
EDIT II: Man, if there's one thing you guys have proven, it's that a lot of you have the ability to read about 3 sentences before forming opinions.

3 답변This is why I hope they make an ahamkara raid or something with a dragon. I want a space dragon flying around and hard to hit and shit. I want a mountable rail gun that takes a long time to charge and can do massive damage to him.

4 답변The ultimate raid boss. A guardian that posses great power and mastered all classes. He can FoP, create bubbles full of weapons of light and blessing of light. Golden gun and use blinking arc blade. Use nova bombs and radiance. All of the classes put into one boss. Possessing all exotics in the game. Truly scary.

4 답변Hell no you're talking DBZ type shit I don't warlocks spamming their kamehameha's at me!

1 답변Bungie should take notes from Bloodborne, the smaller bosses are some of the most intense I've ever fought against. The second boss is a hunter just like your character and he is so quick. It would be refreshing to have something like this in Destiny.

Okay imagine this You walk in to some stronghold or whatever and are fighting and whatever. You defeat the "boss" and the mission end thing appears but disappears suddenly. The guardian with the highest k/d's screen goes black and suddenly he is forced to fight the other 5 guardians but he has super buffs. More damage and health. All the bonus enemies are on his side. The other five guardians have to kill this evil guardian to win the raid. The evil guardian has to kill all 5 good guardians to win. He gets better rewards if he successfully defeats all 5. It's more incentive to get a higher k/d and provides a different experience. You are the boss. Also the fact that there are better rewards for the evil guardian shows the temptation of evil. Feel free to add on to that idea

4 답변We have one already. He resides in the forgotten shore and preys upon lowly level 3-7 guardians. Even a 34 guardian has a hard time taking him out. He is a vandal named Randal and he shows no mercy.

1 답변Yes, we should have three psions, one with a solar shield, one with a void shield, and one with an arc shield. They would hide behind boxes and walls, lean out to shoot, and rush you while you're distracted. Oh wait...

6 답변How about a wizard where it can free roam in the area and damage dealt to it kicks back at you. So no ghorning the boss or stun locking :) the only way to do it is with primaries.

Big enemies are always great but its nice to fight someone your own size. Anyone remember in halo 3 we had to fight the little monitor? Little dude lasered the crap outta johnson though and pushed me off the map countless times

An incarnation of the Darkness that uses all 4 types of enemies and uses guardian gear themed around that type. Like the vex phase would use VOG style weapons like Fatebringer, Preyadeths revenge and Corrective Measure. Fallen would use Lord of Wolves as a primary, Queenbreaker as a secondary and a Scorch Canon as a heavy. Hive would use Black Hammer, Hunger of Crota and maybe Abyss Defiant or Fang of Ir Yut and Cabal use whatever. Goes each phase before a final one combines all of them and then dead. there are no buffs to help you out, just pure survival and the boss uses Guardian tactics and Darkness Tatics. The Adds would be themed like Fanatics and even a Swordbearer to add slightly risky damage He is the experimental product of years of observation of Guardians and Darkness enemies to form

15 답변작성자: Optimus96 6/12/2015 5:41:37 AMAn evil spell cast by the Darkness that clones you and your raid team. These clones uses everything from the armor you're wearing to the weapons you're using. And if you switch gear, they do too.

Yeah pretty brilliant idea. I would imagine it would be a final boss to a raid to justify all the extra A.I coding. I think possible scenarios could be a Vex killing machine (think Terminator) designed from Vex observations of guardians, built to annihilate them, or to protect some Vex mind. Or maybe a corrupted/rouge guardian like was hinted at in the scrapped Charlemagne's Vault raid. Or even some godlike spawn of darkness (I think as far as we know the Fallen/Hive/Vex/Cabal are not the actual darkness or some shit like that) that twists the powers of guardians for its own use. I would imagine the battle would be in an area built like a Crucible arena, lots of cover and vantage points, except for the fact that the boss could move around it all with ease. Of course the visuals around the arena should be pretty epic like the black garden or crotas end. Adds may spawn occasionally to distract guardians. The boss's most basic attack would be running around the map shooting guardians with his main gun, likely some kind of auto rifle. The boss would have several special attacks that guardians will have to react quickly to. For example: The boss could do something like an inverse bubble shield, where everything outside it gets annihilated forcing campers to get up close and personal with the boss. Maybe the boss could also do something like a bladedancer mode where he melees quickly toward guardians, this would be the "oh shit run away!!" part, and guardians would have to use all their agility skills to run/fly clear as he chases you down (I always wished Crota would do something like this). He could also send out seeking orbs like the Voidwalker's grenade that chase guardians down. As the boss's health gets lower he attacks more frequently and gains new abilities. Maybe he goes invisible stalking guardians around the map predator style, or starts hovering with something akin to the warlock's flame wings and shoots death beams à la golden gun. Maybe reserve some of these abilities for hard mode to make him feel fresh again. There are an endless amount of cool things the boss could do given he is not some gigantic static bullet sponge. And finally, when you kill him, he erupts in engrams and raid loot (that will show up at the postmaster if you don't grab it or it inevitably glitches out) and after a few seconds an ending cinematic plays with your raid team heroically posing in victory. That's the kind of raid I want to see.
