[b]Edit 2[/b] - I think I need to clarify a couple of things.
I agree with some of you, Skolas needed changing a little.
A simple method of resuming the fight would have fixed it.
Checkpoints, maybe a card system similar to the trials that marks checkpoints when you complete one, then you can only enter at that point till you complete the next one.
Burning him down in 30 seconds doesn't always work whether it be wrong group wrong weapons or wrong teleports.
You're forced to then work the mechanics which is more fun anyway. Hard yes but not impossible.
What I hate is that people cry Hard content is Hard and Bungie rushes to change it. Valus? Autorifles?
Bungies sole focus should be in bugs and new content. Not pander to the babies who say I can't do this, I'm getting killed by that.

No you don't. Yes you should have [b]ACCESS[/b] to the content you paid for. Actually being able to do it is another thing.

I for example have an inate ability to comprehend programming languages. But can I hell play the drums or learn a foreign language, as much as I've tried.
Same goes for this game. Put me in PvE content I'll be great. PvP something between brain and hands doesn't work maybe it's the pressure of having a real person in the other end.
It's no shame that you can't complete something some people can't.
Just don't [b]EXPECT[/b] you have the right and moan and complain that they Nerf it.

Ran Skolas last night, I have to take my hat off to Bunglevision the changes work. It's a more balanced and fair fight.
It's definitely easier than attempting legit was with the burns.
I can heartily recommend anyone who was dubious about running it due to difficultly to gives it a try. All you need is communication.

1 답변For those who still can't kill him here a nice easy strategy 2 people use gally on him and one person hit him over and over with black hammer he will be down before the first mine comes and he virtually fires no shots if your sniper is a good shot Also it will be so effective the poison will not be an issue either

5 답변There's two things contributing to the Skolas 'nerf*': 1) People who finish him using the 'smash and grab' approach as opposed to running it as intended 2) People who can't finish him using either approach and in turn will post saying that he's too hard. These represent the beginning and end of the upside-down, time-taken to complete bell-curve which I expect they'll have analysed before adjusting him. It's not as simple as "he's nerfed because people posted to nerf him". * it's not exactly a nerf, they're removing the ability to down him quick (@1) and also making it easier for those without maxed elemental weapons to down him (@2). If you ran it legitimately every time then I don't expect your duration on this to change, simply because there's no elemental damage.

2 답변I think they removed the burns because of gjallarhorn and the idiots that post "need 35 poe must have 365 ghallarhorn" but they dont want to nerf the gun because if they did this forum and others would flood with an overwhelming amount of tears.

1 답변I agree with you. Bungie had finally made something actually challenging and fun, and now it's being dialed down because of all the whining and moaning about not being able to beat it. You couldn't have put it any better by saying they paid for access, not for easy content. Carry on, my good sir, and may you learn to play the drums, 7 other languages, and may your PvE skills transfer over to PvP :)

1 답변I enjoyed the challenge. If they take away elemental burns and drop his health I guess it would even out to be the same fight with burns. It will still be a challenge in a way but you dirty trash players have no skill. I'm tired if idiotic trash casual gamers who can't use a pair of joysticks. Get your IQ up you little failures, use tactical advantage, use the correct weapons, actually try.

Who cares. Beat him first week with Ghorn method, second week legit, 3rd week legit, haven't run this week but I'm sure it'll be fast with Ghorn and BH. By "legit" I mean taking his life down as usual and dismantling both sets of mines then going for the kill.

8 답변Skolas hard on solar burn hahaah nah hes easy af with that burn and bungie has noticed that seriously every burn makes skolas easy. Arc burn cool weapons of light and snipe him or 4th horseman him till he dies again withing 30 secs. The burns make skolas too easy. Now it may be actually a challenge instead of "just ghally him faster" lmao

Wow I'm really suprised how many people have not beat skolas yet. I myself beat him 8 times but a few of my friends still have not done skolas and always ask me to help them (by this time I have beat it 3 times for the week) Also they ask me how did I get elder cipher 5 times and have all three weapons. Before this I was complaining that elder cipher is to easy to get and even to easy to finish well I guess it's drop rate is high because majority of players have not beat skolas.

They shouldn't have nerfed his health, just switched up the modifiers. Sometimes out a burn on but not all the time, would've been a much brighter idea... Can you imagine the challenge of the modifier was exposure..? Lols
