Either that or "those before" isn't referring to us at all. Also the last line is odd, especially since nothing that people have guessed is right yet. Not sure about this one. More information is needed. Edit 1: After seeing the first clue, I have come to the conclusion that you're referring to something on Mars. Perhaps not but it was my first thought. Edit 2: Relics of time could mean long-lost artifacts or something Vex related because of their abilities to manipulate the space-time continuum. Edit 3: "Sands" also might not be literal, but if that is the case then we're almost back at square one. Luckily the mentioning of relics of time is a pretty big clue, it seems. Edit 4: Not sure where to take the second clue. It seems to be getting more confusing the more clues are given. So many different factors are coming into play that it's widening the spectrum of what the answer could be.
