Just attempted a raid for the very first time ever... It didn't go well.
I'm headed to the crib and my sis is blowing my phone up, all excited because she's found some random group that invited her to do a raid and they had one spot left for me, so I rush into the house and start up the xbox and hop into the game.
Nobody, and I mean not one of us, had ever done a raid before (this one was the glass vault time thing)
Time spent on Oracles = 1:30 (I caught on to what needed to be done after about the 4th respawn, unlike the rest of the team, and I was in party chat with ym sister and was too lazy to tell them EDIT: I CLEARLY NEED TO ADD THIS, BECAUSE I'M BUTTHURTING PEOPLE OBVIOUSLY - WHEN I SAY THAT I AM TOO 'LAZY' TO JUMP INTO CHAT AND TELL THEM, I AM SAYING THAT I AM NOT BOTHERING WITH TALKING TO THEM BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE. IN THE FIRST SECTION OF THE RAID, I TRIED IT AND EVERYONE STILL RAN AROUND DOING WHATEVER LIKE DUMBASSES, AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN ONCE I TRIED TO ORGANIZE A STRAT TO GET PAST THE ORACLES PART (which almost worked until we got beat and everyone went back to doing whatever, even idiots staying up there in that top spot for some stupid reason where you can't revive them if they die). IT CLEARLY BECAME A WASTE OF TIME, NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT I'M TALKING TO MY SISTER WHO I HAVEN'T SEEN IN MONTHS) After a while, the rest finally caught on and we got that one section done.
Time spent on Templar = Undetermined. I almost said -blam!- it at this point, because nobody knew how to use the Relic except for me, which wasn't any good because just about everyone else was running around like idiots doing whatever and couldn't get cleansed.
Time spent trying to jump around that open canyon thing - 30 - 45 minutes
Time spent on Gorgons = Bout 1 hour. It took us several goes before we realized that there was something up about shooting them, and it took us even longer to figure out the maze. I had to actually whip out my phone and search for tips on the internet(which thankfully told me about some loot cache nearby)
When we got to Atheon, that was pretty much it. I ended up just quitting and calling it a day.
That was probably my most gruesome Destiny experience ever, point blank.
I realize this probably makes me look like a newbie or beginner or something at Destiny, which I pretty much am when it comes to PvE (entirely different story when it comes to Crucible. My KD ratio will tell you that much), but damn.

Doing a VoG with random groups is usually just a horrible experience now that everyone has moved on to the newer activities, which i think is a shame as VoG is probably the best designed activity imo. Most of the people that are still running it just dont understand communication at all and iv even seen players just sit there and let everyone else do the work.

Even if You go with seasoned Guardians and have documented thoroughly, You always have difficulty getting used to mechanics and tactics. Even hardcore fireteams sometimes struggle and fail due to overconfidence or bugs/glitches. We all have been in this position and whomever denies it is lying. Also, if You are failing to be prepared then You are preparing to be a fail, and not communicating with the Fireteam is a major error. If You're on X360 ad Me, GT is [b]Necromantici[/b].

1 답변o man, this post honestly gave me a good laugh, so if youve never done a raid b4 how come you knew how to run relic? Or you were just the most proficient user out of what you had available ? And to see Raid vets on Norm VoG is rare, i did mine yesterday strictly for chest peiece, got it, and now im not going to touch norm mode ever again, unless i get picky and what disc/str roll instead of just intell Your best bet now a days is to watch youtube raid clinic walk throughs to know what to expect and what to do

Honestly I did it with no mic the other day with 2 ransoms and we got through it in about an hour start to finish so if you want another go hit me up and I'll help plus I actually know the gorgon maze like the back of my hand but it depends what class you are 'cause there's to main ways.

Hahahaha good luck and enjoy! The raid is very fun and challenging got first timer. Keep playing and hopefully your team will stick with it because a good team synergy goes a long way. When everyone start to get slightly more comfortable, getting to know the mechanics well and generally just covering each other, that's where the raid shine. It's wonderful.

Welcome to raiding! The raids in Destiny are actually easier than the Nightmare versions I run in the MMO I play, but still very fun. It takes many, many attempts to clear a raid and they can be VERY frustrating! Nothing's better than finally clearing the content though so keep at it!

1 답변Reason the raid is hard, people don't do what they are supposed to. Know what to do, stick to your role and the rest falls into place.

Cherish these moments when the vault mystifies and confuses you. Once you become like the rest of use and know every little detail about every little thing in the game, there's no challenge anymore. Of course the game is still fun but you're gonna look back at this.

Can't decide if this is "I'm too good to use a mic", or "I'm so good I can talk on the phone instead of to my team" No excuses, use a mic. And play the game and nothing else. People just don't get common sense etiquette. Especially love those guys that pump their favorite raiding rap while playing. Or DEAR GOD...eating over a mic! Had a guy ask if he could go afk for awhile while he went with his mother to Macy's.
