There's been a lot of discussion about ToO, and one of the more popular ideas to solve problems with this game's lack of skill-based matchmaking was "Make the 9-0ers who went Flawless be separated from general matchmaking and fight other Flawless teams?" ... which has mostly been met with vocal opposition by the Lighthousers. My question is why?
Most posts I see that're like "No don't make the flawless teams fight each other!" are usually the same people that try to preach about how ToO is supposed to be a "for the skilled only" and "haha let's wreck scrubs", etc. ... an air of arrogance surrounds them. There's a feeling of genuine accomplishment and superiority they try to convey when talking about their flawless runs. How many flawless runs they did, and so forth. However, when the idea that they may have to fight equally skilled teams that whole bravado is replaced by a resounding protest. Buttholes pucker in fear. Testicles coil upwards as they nervously hammer out a response on the forums.
If ToO is supposed to be a legitimate "the best of the best" PvP Arena event, this is naturally the only way to truly see who's the best team, so if you're actually good then fighting teams of your own skill-tier shouldn't actually be a problem. The only reason why any Lighthouser should be afraid of a "9-0ers Only" matchmaking would be if they were carried to the Lighthouse or built their streak cherry-picking for matches against lower leveled, under-equipped teams. There's no denying the logic that the true Crucible beasts should be just fine when fighting teams of the same skill, unless they weren't as good as they claim to be.
So what's a legitimate counter-argument to the proposal of a "9-0ers Only" matchmaking?

1 답변They're not concerned about competition. The pvp elitist want things to stay the same now because trials isn't about competition. It's about loot. And the good players can easily get loot every week. If they added the tiered matchmaking they wouldn't have such an easy time getting to the lighthouse. Also, right now people that go 9-0 might as well be celebrities. Doing us "little people" a favor by carrying us through. 1) how is getting carried through earning your gear or challenging? 2) it's a little messed up that in a elimination tournament people are 100% confident they can 9-0 and carry you to the lighthouse. If it were actually a challenge that wouldn't be the case

1 답변I've seen so many posts complaining about trials. I honestly just play it, I'm tired of all this shit. I've gone flawless five times now and I'm sick and tired of seeing everybody complain about every little detail. Map, weapons in it, matchmaking(lack thereof), oP classes, cheaters, glitches, servers, ugh... Get over it. You lost? Go again, it's not gonna hurt you. It's 9 games. Roughly 8-10 minutes a game. So what do I think? I'd be happy to do this because most people who have the eye of Osiris emblem suck at the game because it's so easy to get. Yeah. Go for it.

2 답변Honestly, whenever I see the 9-0 Emblem anymore I'm just like, alrighty guys, let's deny them really quick. 80% of the players on my friends list including myself has it. Week one it was scary, but I'm guessing so many people got carried through ToO the emblem means nothing anymore sadly :/

34 답변If all the flawless players get put into their own pool, the original pool is diluted by a talent vacuum and anyone that starts the event on Sunday would have a distinct advantage. How is that fair? You want a free pass through all the good teams so you can have a better chance at success. I understand your logic, but don't talk about 'fairness' while trying to squirrel your way through end-game content. Sack up, Guardian.

작성자: Whamji 6/10/2015 12:21:30 PMI think that ppl in the lighthouse should have the OPTION to play eachother in their own pool, for more challenge. If you make it to the lighthouse a new mode opens up so that you can play other 9-0 teams. And if you go flawless again you get a cool emblem and shader to let ppl know how bad ass you are. I suck at pvp so this will never aply to me lol but for those that are good and love a challenge, it could be fun for them

4 답변They don't know the joy of getting a 50 in team doubles in Halo 3, or headquarters clan battles in World at War, they're just scrubs who like to rush less skilled players. They don't know the struggle of real competition.

작성자: Camp0potamus 6/10/2015 11:56:45 AMI don't know that anyone should have to have harder road to 9-0 than anyone else. Just remove the ability to see who you are up against until you actually load into the game and you remove the ability to determine if you want that fight or not. SuRe bungie noted they will start banning players for that "Change Character" activity but I know a few dirtbags who still did it a few times this week and got through.

Give it a few more weeks and it will be just flawless players using thorn and final round and rushing each other with shotguns. They will get pissed if and stop playing because all the scrubs and try hards have left and it is not fun any more.

5 답변Cause most 9-0 people got carried I should know I've carried way to many of my friend with little thanks

1 답변It would be fun but here's the problem most good teams have had things that are cheap and used them unfairly to get to the lighthouse it's not always a question of skill- final round snipers - full team of thorns and sunsingers with Viking funeral (Idc about the self revive ,most can kill them right away if they are smart enough). See this game mode wouldn't be a question of skill if certain mechanics werent here like no exotics then certain "cheap" weapons wouldn't be used and certain upgrades didn't actually have an effect on weapons aka final round

19 답변It's simple: People would have to play to their actual skill level. They would rather face "easy" wins and yet scream "get good" to the less skilled. In short, it would be a real test of skill and not free wins.

4 답변Too will collapse when there are no more casuals to feed on. How hasn't been out for a month. Hardcore will be left with only other hardcore in about 6 weeks to fight with. Getting to the lighthouse won't be so easy when there are no more casuals to feast upon.
