Am I the only one that Thorn doesn't annoy?
I've been doing a LOT of crucible lately, and I don't see what the problem with Thorn is. I mean it's a good gun don't get me wrong, but it's never killed me a ton. I personally don't think it should be changed.

1 답변작성자: StardustWaltz 6/6/2015 2:04:31 PMI use Thorn, not ashamed because I've used this gun since it had 6 rounds and the worst reload of any handcannon. Just because people find it op now doesn't mean I will stop using my favorite gun I've used since September.

4 답변I find I die more to Mythoclasts. I reckon people just notice a Thorn more because it's so obvious when it hits you.

2 답변Thorn does not bother me. Shoot them back with another thorn. The better shooter wins. Balance restored.

4 답변I'm honestly more annoyed by the vex. Seems like people drop me so fast with it and then I use it and unload clips on people and nothing. Thorn is fine they just need to adj some of the other guns to balance it.

Yes, ill be honest that gun pisses me off just the fact it has a burn with every shot annoys me like i can get hit across the map and be in red on my health, i was thinking maybe for the burn the further the less likely the chances of the burn accruing so it has a chance on impact to burn further away from your chosen target less likely the burn happening but thats my thoughts on it

It's annoying, no doubt. Especially when you make the kill and then start bleeding health, it can feel like punishment for winning. But I tend to find that only a handful of players can actually use it effectively. I use Red Death myself and I'd say that on most occasions I can get the kill and the health regen kicks in, nullifying the effect. I come across a few games where the entire enemy squad has Thorn and it's a nightmare, but in general this is not the case. Again, only a few seem to actually be able to wield it effectively, and that's fine.

I went up against a team of players all using thorn. Its the most annoying gun I've faced as two body shots kill me because of that poison damage over time. My k/d has been all over the place because I do bad against that gun

But can you see why people with a lot more time spent or with a higher skill level would have a hard time taking your part in this? If you played a lot you'd realize how OP Thorn actually is, it's really not debateable. I mean the ''strongest'' argument pro Thorn is '' You will always whine about gun blanace'' and that always comes from guys who've used Thorn a lot more than other guns. Sure there will always be whining on the forum, but if you can't see through regular whine and an actual problem, like Thorn is, then you are as stupid as those who calls for nerf's all the time.

Basically anyone in that 30% needs to look at why they are getting beat so much because a majority of people don't have a problem with it.

When I started crucible (like. Two weeks ago when I got the bad juju bounty.) I used the last word, and I despised thorn. Hated it. Could never counter it. I have since come to use the Mida (which dropped for me four days before it was sold, such is my luck), and have come to find that thorn is easily countered. It's all based on your playstyle.

I hate TLW, it's the stupidest gun in the game IMO. Destiny's small maps make this gun dominate in close to mid range. You literally can't react to it cuz of it's absurd TTK, it has ridiculous range and you HAVE to know the other person has it and where they are at to properly counter. Tl:dR Thorn needs slight nerf but not as much as TLW needs a huge range nerf or Reload speed nerf (needs to be as slow as Timur's Lash)

I don't really think it's overpowered in the traditional sense that it's too good but it annoys the ever loving shit out of me. I just hate getting killed by the burn damage. It feels like I shouldn't have lost a gunfight if I died to that. I would fully support a nerf to where the burn damage couldn't kill someone

I agree. So many people want it nerfed, but it's really not that bad. There are many different ways to beat thorns, I personally get killed by TLW or shotguns more than thorn. It just pisses people off because of the DoT. I just got my thorn and just unlocked the DoT last night, and so far I don't like it as much as TLW or Red Death.
