I'll just leave this here.
Thoughts?
Edit: Just in case anyone wants to know my point of view on this matter. Personally, regardless of whether the story is true or not, I still think Noah should've gotten that award over Jenner. Yes it's courageous to get a public sex change and proclaim it to the world but there are thousands of transgender men out there who have gone through that same struggle. Are they getting commended for it? No, they aren't. Am I saying the Caitlyn Jenner isn't courageous or strong? Heck no. It takes a great deal of courage to get a public sex change. At the very least, Caitlyn Jenner can be a champion of sorts for the transgender community and maybe help society accept that there are these kind of people out there and that they shouldn't be mocked or disgraced in any way. Do I agree with what Jenner is doing? No not particularly, but if doing what he is doing gets us closer and closer to having a complete ability to express who you are then I'm all for it.
Edit 2: I look down at the comments and think, 'Sweet Jesus what have I done?'
Edit 3: So I've pinpointed and separated three main views on this matter.
1. They're absolutely disgusted by it.
2. They're all for Jenner's transformation and avidly support it.
3. Or they just don't give a shit.
Final Edit: Thank goodness this thread of finally dead . . . Wait . . . Shit.

1 답변In reality there is no such thing as a sex change. You may change your genitals but you either have XY or XX chromosomes. Until they are able to change those there is no such thing as a sex change. No one sciences anymore.

1 답변So he's brave because he gulps down enough hormone pills to stay on a period 24/7/365 and uses that as an excuse to act like a douche bag to everyone? Transpeople are the biggest losers and easily the most annoying people that I have to deal with on my day to day schedule. Homosexuals are brave because they can't actually control their sexual feelings, but transpeople CAN control the amount of hormone pills they gulp down. If they were actually 'the other sex' they shouldn't feel the need to take hormone pills to 'become' male or female. It's the most retarded, logically-void thing that society needs to put a stop to.

Well. The Vet lost a leg and a arm unwillingly... Bruce paid to replace his penis with a vagina. I have mad respect for bruce, but i honestly think that tink tink 2.0 deserved the award. Plus there is probably someone out there that deserves the award more than both of them.

1 답변I don't think that it takes courage to run marathons with one leg and arm. It takes a prosthetic leg and athleticism.

3 답변Logically, it's more about the known quantity versus a relatively ignored quantity. There are dozens of hundreds of charities for wounded soldiers. Their support network goes from the private sector all the way up to the federal levels. Transgender people don't have any of that. There are a very small number of groups who support them, and they have what is presently one of the HIGHEST rates of hate crimes perpetrated against them, not to mention the MASSIVE spike in suicide rates. So one is impressive, but a relatively known/sadly common issue. The other is raising awareness of something sadly underrepresented.

There's nothing "courageous" about denying what you truly are. It's none of my business what anyone does, but people like him need serious psychiatric help.
Both people seem happy and that's all that really matter... An award really didn't mean any thing... Both people have helped people in different ways and in the end so who really cares if they won an award or not, they are both happy and have helped people, both are winners.
