The mechanics obviously weren't working as they intended. Note that no matter how much people have complained in the past they have never nerfed bosses. They didn't nerf skolas this week. Never nerfed crota or atheon. Or Templar. The jailbreaker buff wasn't making it easy enough to destroy the detainment. Bungie doesn't listen to whiners when things work as they intend. I was able to complete it, but the truth is that buff made a negligible difference and my team just decided using a 365 shotgun and a couple of primary rounds without worrying about the eye was easier than fighting the boss the "right" way. The "jailbreaker" just wasn't worth it. This is their attempt to fix the mechanics to work how they want them to. People are ridiculous elitists and want to make themselves "better" than other people. The arrogance is ridiculous. Get over yourselves. They didn't nerf this boss because there were members of the community whining. They buffed the jailbreak to work as they intended.
