First exotic weapon?
I am strictly curious about what the first exotic weapon you cool guys and gals attained (the story behind it, your reaction, etc.). For me, it was Gjallahorn. I found it in the Gorgon's chest! I had no clue what it was, and I was pissed it wasn't a primary lol. Well, now that it's so sought after, I count myself to be extremely lucky!

Thunderlord. I was running a patrol mission that made me run past the loot cave, it dropped as a heavy engram and I didn't even see it until I went to the tower. Same thing happened a week later with Mask of The Third Man.

I got a hard light my first run through the vault when they released the raid. I was like, what's a hard light and my friends were all like you lucky bastard. I still use it a lot and it's a pretty fun gun now that volatile rounds bounce all the time

But then I saw how cool red death looked and that it could heal you plus fast reloads with precision hits my mouth drooled and eyes widened with excitement. I was stoked it was my first exotic weapon and I still carry and use it to this day! Awesome aesthetics too. Even though I might of not [i]earned[/i] it as some have said about buying items from xur, keep in mind I only played one character at the time. I did everything I could to get coins and felt good about buying this sweet weapon.

Mine waa exactly the same as you. 1st time playing since launch on easy VOG. I opened the chest and i said. I got the "gabberhorn" and all my friends were like OMG I HATE YOU. i just said is it good? They said its the best weapon in the game. I went to the atheon and the got the vex. Lol...

My first was the GHorn from a legendary engram. I was with my friend and I'm like what's this? He's like Ohhhh, you got the Gjallahorn! Then i was like it looks nice, I'll keep it. It was like the second month the game came out.
