As the title says, wondering what you guys think!
Edit: I would love to hear why these people think it is a cheese

A cheese is a method that defies the litteral boundries of the game mechanics such as climbing on the cliffs to the top of the spire in crotas end i.e a glitch. Using a weapon, OP or not, isn't a cheese. It is a strategy sir. Using the atom bomb in WW2 was a strategy, it was fast and won the war against Japan. Would you have rather done the long method of invading and getting countless millions killed on each side. Nope. i rest my case

*sigh* Gjallarhorn is a weapon you can use to kill things in PvE. You can shoot PvE bosses with it. It's not a cheese. If you think shooting a boss with a khvostov fulfills some romantic notion of gaming, then go for it. But me? I'm here to kill sh*t and win in the most efficient and timely manner possible. I'll use the weapons Bungie gave me that are most effective. And until they make changes otherwise, that means I'll use my Gjallarhorn on the big boss.

Cheesing? Debatable. Cheap? Extremely. And I have 2 gjallarhorns so don't pull the "he's just mad he doesn't have one" response. I don't mind gjallarhorn at all. It's a fantastic heavy but it really shouldn't be 85% of a strat to beat a boss..

4 답변Cheese is something I serve with crackers or melt over a burger. I cannot serve crackers and Gjallarhorn. I cannot make a Gjallarhornburger. Ergo Gjallarhorn is not cheese.

작성자: DxohJD 5/30/2015 10:50:22 PMThe Destiny community has taken the term "cheesing" to mean cheating, or abusing a game mechanic in a way the developer had not intended. However, the original meaning for the term cheesing stems from using a cheesy, near fool-proof method to overcome an obstacle. For example, early fighting games would often contain a character or move that could be easily spammed to defeat most opponents. Cheesy? Yes. Cheating? No. In this manner, gjallarhorn spam is definitely cheesing. Edit: By no means do I think that using gjallarhorn is cheating, or that it is not a legitimate tactic. I only mean that the weapon is so over the top powerful compared to everything else that it is ridiculous. Almost every problem in the game can be solved by simply throwing more gjallarhorns at it. That is the definition of cheese as it was originally coined.

5 답변How could shooting a boss with a gun, any gun, be a cheese? I'm not sure people understand what a "cheese" is. It's exploiting a glitch in the system to one's own benefit. In other words, a cheese is taking advantage of a a programming error that was not intended to be part of the game. The last time I checked, Gjallarhorn is not a glitch and was fully intended to be part of the game.
