Many of us construct articulate, thoughtful arguments regarding Bungie's baffling management of Destiny. Our complaints are not whining or crying. We are not children. We work for a living, have families, and real life obligations. We don't have hours to play every day, and we choose not to spend our weekends on the couch where the only human interactions we have are through a headset. We are willing to work hard for game gear, but finding a group and playing without getting Attention Contacting Destiny Servers shouldn't be part of said work.
And, when lightening strikes and we do hear from Bungie, the response is often snarky, insulting, and illogical.
We have every right to complain: Bungie has turned what should have been an epic - and epically FUN - game into a frustrating, confusing, and unrewarding grind. Their over reliance on RNG, absence of a skill-based reward system, and lack of matchmaking or in-game LFG is deflating and infuriating.
Instead of an open world, we were sold endless loops.
And before you simply tell me to quit, you should know that if you love Destiny, then you need me. You need the casual players with some disposable income. You need the students whose parents bought them the game, and can only play around homework and chores. Casual players have bailed from this game by the millions, millions! This iteration of Destiny may survive this hemorrhaging for a while, but unless Bungie starts catering to MY demographic - and to casual gamers, in general - any future Destiny products are doomed.
Exactly!
Edit: Thanks to proactive members of this Community, we got the attention of Forbes Reporter Paul Tassi, which, in turn, certainly got Bungie's attention. Check out Tassi's piece from yesterday: If Bungie built Destiny around groups, they need to help players find them.
June 29 Edit: I still love playing multiplayer with my sons, but have zero interest otherwise. I have a bunch of unleveled gear, that as far as I'm concerned, can rot.
Now, my interest has turned to trying to keep Bungivi$ion's money-mongering, player-gouging tactics from becoming the norm for game publishers.
The loudest noise I can make is that of my wallet closing.

I do wish there was a match making option that you could turn on or off POE is not that hard minus Skolas and it can be a pain in a $$trying to find people late at night when I have time to play and the RNG is horrible I had a guy get a ghally off of a dragon strike with only 33 kills

6 답변A in game Optional Match Making system should and needs to be installed for everything in Destiny. Everything from doing Patrols to Raiding needs to have a Optional Match Making system. Seriously, this " Social " game is lacking in the Social aspect.

1 답변작성자: AJIc3CoLd 6/1/2015 6:52:01 PMIt's not only losing casual players. I put in close to 1200 hours from release up until February but since then my play time has decreased dramatically. I thought HOW might change that but other than TOO, it's been a disappointment for me. I love the game and continue to play here and there but I don't know how long I'll stick around. Witcher 3 has already taken a chunk of playing time and when games like The Division arrive I don't know if I'll play at all.

1 답변Download the free Planetside 2 for pvp. It blows Destiny crucible bullshit out the water. Massive continents to fight on like Guildwars 2, vehicles, character levelling (no light bullshit).

2 답변Problem is the most vocal group are the hardcore triehards and streamers. What they don't understand is the $$$ is in casuals. They make up 90% of the players. The casuals come on the forums and want nerfs then by G-d Bungie should do it. The tryhards aren't going anywhere, the casuals will move on to another game if they keep getting killed by OP Thorn and other BS.
-
1 답변I am in this group and agree with you completely. The money is with us casual scubs. Even if all the tryhards had tons of disposable income, we still out number them 10 to 1. Thank you for the well worded post.

3 답변I simply do not understand how people are having a hard time getting a group together. I work 50 hrs a week, have small kids and all that. Within 2 days of swapping from ps3 to 4 I was back in the game with new friends and doing NF, poe32/4 and both raids on 3 characters. It's not that hard. Go to the clan forum, select most favorited and join several groups. Pick one as a clan and use the others to find stuff to do.

12 답변This is the most convincing argument I've seen for the casual player, I work hard and long hours and now have a baby on the way, so I imagine time on destiny will be short lived, so I don't want to spend what little time I'll have searching for a proper group of people to finish some of the end game content. I hope things change soon, baby's due date is January 2016 so they have s lot of time to try and cater for us as such. All we need is optional matchmaking on all raids night falls and POE, and I cannot understand any reason as to why not .

2 답변Completely agree. What Bungie and Activision fail to realise is that the casual players are the lifeblood of destiny. Overpricing DLCs and lying to customers will only result in losing them.
-
3 답변Lol. That edit. Activision has been money gouging player for years with CoD. This definitely isn't a new tactic they started when they partnered with Bungie; it's just how they choose to do business and it works for them because people are -blam!-ing stupid.

6 답변Casual player here, and one of the problems I see with this game is a lot of people's requirements for joining their fireteam, asking for ridiculous qualifications in order to join their group. You don't need a 365 Gjallarhorn for everything, you don't need to be level 34 to complete Vault of Glass, you don't need to have gone flawless already to be able to go 9-0 in trials (no-one was flawless in the first week!), and you certainly don't need to have gone flawless to do well in Iron Banner.

4 답변Yeah, construct yourself a bridge and get over it. They aren't hemorrhaging players at all, their numbers always show a drop before the new dlc but as I have already lamented The Taken King Collectors Edition pre-orders have already sold out in Australia and some stores are already out of Legendary Edition. At this point in Destiny's life if you haven't got a decent raid team/fireteam you probably have social issues. Daily I receive multiple "m2arp" messages, in 3 hours yesterday I received 20 requests. You believe it is the casual players that make the game, I believe you are wrong. Casual players whine and make the game easier, the problem is though most of us don't want ease, we want our work to matter. The Skinner box doesn't work if we don't value the rewards.

2 답변Casuals gamers flock from game to game... It doesn't matter what developers do to cater to them, they end up leaving anyway.

1 답변I've written many posts nearly exactly like yours. I couldn't give two shits about destiny anymore...it's about its marketing model being followed by future games. The gaming industry is becoming something to be hated. Bungie and activision are leading the companies against full games. It's all about limiting and squeezing the customer. What happened to the art? Stop giving this market/product model money. Add me if you're on the one. I like your way of thinking.
