Period.
Let me explain why. I, like many of you here, have been a loyal destiny fan since day one, but after this recent DLC I just can't take it any more. From the beginning I have grinded this game out RELIGIOUSLY, I have dozens of VoG completions, crota completions and have completed HUNDRED's of bounties.
But I didn't mind that, I enjoyed the grind. But what really got me was this, the grind in the end really didn't pay off. I got to level 30 with VoG armour when that was the only way to be level 30 and level 32 respectively with crota it took dozens of completions to get the required armour and shards. But for what? As soon as the next DLC came out everyone that wasn't the max level could, quickly and conveniently catch up and reach the previously max level with faction armour.
In the Dark Below this was okay as there was still a grind to reach the new max level but with the House of Wolves, it was so easy to be level 34 it could be done within hours of playing.
But what was the last straw for me was that one of my friends who got destiny merely a month ago got to level 34 at roughly the same point as I did. 800 hours played compared to 150? How can this be explained? I thought destiny was a game for grinding not for people to merely catch up in simply because of the botched up transition to DLC's. And what rubbed the salt in the wound for me was when this friend also got an elder cipher before me allowing him to get the signature exotic before me? And therefore in my eyes further ahead than in within the games collective completion system? I just can't take...all them hours of my life wasted because of some dodgy DLC transitioning, I am so distraught and angry that this newby friend of mine has seemed and appeared to surpass me in destiny.
I suppose destiny really is an arcade game for filthy casuals, I think I'll stick to a real game like csgo where the grind really does pay off! With a great ranking up system =) See you later filthy casuals, maybe the smarter of you will soon realise that this so called grind is for nothing, like what do you REALLY have to show for it, a faction level?
EDIT: Stop calling me a snowflake..all snowflakes are unique so it really doesn't make sense ?

It's kinda sad to see how fragile some people's ego is. How they can base their happiness and enjoyment on someone else's experience. Who cares how fast your friend got to 34. Didnt you gain countless more experience, more fun, more enjoyment playing for so long? How can someone getting to level 34 somehow take away your happiness? How can your joy be based on how much work someone else has to go through?

I know exactly how you feel. I'm not a 34, but I was a 32 when the HoW came out. One of my friends went from being a 28 to a 32 in MINUTES. I freaked out. I mean I'm not like mad that like he is a 32 in all, but when he hit 32 with very less work it was annoying.

Ya know a few months ago people would post how they were leaving destiny. This was due to the cut content. It made sense then express there anger at bungie with the cut content and bullshit capitalism but all your doing here is wining because you wasted your life on a game and realized that it was all for nothing... I'm so freaking happy people can get to max level easier now. Just like you. I maxed out in vault, and in CE. Level shouldn't translate to being better than someone. This game is still being molded by the community. As soon as last gen is ditched, this game will progress further and beyond most other games. I have hopes that Destiny will be that one game that started out a little rough, but with us, the community backing a company that delivered a game as excellent as Halo, could help mold this into such a fantastic experience. I'm in for the ride.

Why did you feel the need to post this? A massive wall of text, are you that engrossed in your own world that you think everyone wants to know why you don't play anymore. This is just as annoying as people who say they have to "quit" destiny to play another game, as if it's some kind of full time job. I didn't bother reading the whole post, because I can pretty much guess the gist of it, it's just like every other "quitting" post. Please just stop with this rubbish, if you want to playing, just stop playing, but don't bother wasting our time with these irritating posts because nobody, and I mean NOBODY gives a shit about you quitting and your reasons.
