598 Motes = 23 Exotic Engrams = 1 Ram Helm
I spent 598 motes of light. Exchanged all my Radiant shards and ascendant shards all for motes of light just to get the Ram helm and finally the cryptarch gave it to me. What a freaking mission was that. Anyone else have this much trouble to get some new HoW exotic helms?

I have had the *WORST* luck in HoW... Tons of key farming all week: 4 keys Almost 200 blue engrams, no purples & of the blues I decoded, none turned into a purple. With my 4 keys... I got 4 Wolve's Bane HMGs. IN. A. ROW. A random purple engram dropped ONCE from a killed enemy. Turned into a token of flight. Several Vanguard and Cryptarch packages, the ONE purple I got was a cloak. So I feel your pain. That being said: So needless to say, I was not optimistic when it came to Exotic helmet engrams. I bought one engram from Xur, decoded it, went back to Xur for the next, etc. Eventually I stopped at my eighth one. 1-Achlyophage Symbiote (Already had a fully upgraded light 42 one of these) 2-Mask of the Third Man (Already had a fully upgraded light 42 one of these) 3-Obsidian Mind (Don't have a warlock, but am going to make one, so cool) 4-Helm of Inmost Light (Don't have a titan either, but I'll make on of those eventually, so cool) 5-Insurmountable Skullfort (Ditto HOIML) 6-The Ram 7-Eternal Warrior 8-Celestial Nighthawk I'm Stoked. So even with luck as bad as mine, it can turn around. I think they did that on purpose to make the game addicting. [spoiler]I still need a Gjallarhorn and Fatebringer.[/spoiler]
