I'm holding back until I have seen what ToO is like. If it's not a lag fest, like IB and Crucible have become, it will be around a 8.5/10. Due to the story missions being short but fun, PoE being interesting and enjoyable and the grimoire giving a bit of structure to the story missions (I understand a lot of people can't get past having to go on the Internet or app to read it, that's their mistake). The only down marks are no six man teams for any endgame content, meaning my raid team and I have had to split and re form two teams (but this is a minor point).
I would say 9/10. The story missions themselves, as well as the execution of the story in general, were much improved over TDB. However, as a big lore guy I always want more in terms of story so I was still a little disappointed. The strike is really fun. Jumped into it as the Nightfall blind after finishing the story and it was actually fun, unlike Will of Crota which felt like a chore. Even running it again on my second toon was still fun. Rerolling is fun as hell and definitely addicting lol. Ran the 28, 32, and 34 PoE last night and it was so fun. Even getting our asses handed to us as 33's in the 34 didn't really frustrate us because the action was so intense and so much much fun to figure out. Bungie definitely got this one right.
Edit: I just realized I used the word "fun" 6 times in that small paragraph. While that's a crime from a literary standpoint, I think without realizing it I was saying what really meant: HoW has made Destiny fun again.
