Why is it that almost every strike I am in I am the only one dropping light? I will go in with Obsidian Mind and 96% Intellect on my Voidwalker and throw down nova bombs left and right. If I drop less than fifty orbs of light a match I am doing something wrong. How is it that no one else seems to ever use theirs? There is plenty of light on the ground that I drop so you can burn yours and immediately be full again. Also, you help me out by dropping light for me. Mind you that my helm makes it so that I am usually half full for my next nova bomb each time I kill a group of enemies with a nova bomb, but sometimes I need an extra orb or two.
It absolutely baffles me why people other than Sunsingers in a nightfall mission horde supers. I remember I used to do that. Keep it in my back pocket as a last ditch effort trump card move when I was new to the game. But I quickly learned that they are meant to be used and used often. There should be no reason a mid-twenties or higher level guardian doesn't know this. So why the hesitation to use your supers to help the team?
While I'm at it, I often see people not using their heavy weapons or not using them often. I carry a dozen or more synths with me each match and time it so that I am always full and when a group of enemies come I am ready with either a super or a full clip of heavy ammo. Could you also explain why you never use your heavy weapons?
-Edit- Apparently there are a lot of people who play like I do, which I didn't expect when I made this poll so sorry that the options are limited to mostly "I don't do it" kind of options. Thankfully I left "other" in there as a catch-all. Thanks for all the responses. I never expected so many people to respond with so many different explanations gameplay styles. I'm not trying to tell anyone how to play the game but I am hoping to point out how efficient this type of gameplay is and I was legitimately asking why people didn't play like this when orbs of light and heavy synth are easily renewed.
I also see that many people aren't intentionally trying not to be team players as they support in other ways, they don't care for supers or they simply didn't know or forgot. Also thanks to those who took time to explain their loadouts and perks that come with them. There is some really valuable information in these posts so I am glad we are helping the community together.

Bumping my own thread because now that Prison of Elders is here we need people to know now more than ever the importance of super chaining and using heavy synth. If you are a Defender then pop a bubble over control points, if you are a Sunsinger we need your grenades against hordes of thralls and minions that swarm. If you are a Bladedancer switch that invisibility with R2 garbage to Razors Edge when Arc Burn is active. And all of you can use heavy synth to mow down VIPs. I understand the importance of keeping a res for Sunsingers on some situations but many times having the reduced damage perk and mowing down enemies with heavy goes a lot further to help the team versus a clinch res that will probably result in your immediate death before saving teammates with long cooldowns on their revives. Many people said they don't use supers and synth on Roc because it was "too easy". No excuse now. Light up the darkness.

2 답변In nightfall Titans, as defenders only pop the bubble as a parachute or the final burn on the boss. At least that's my strategy. Hunters I run arc and only pop when we need a medic and use invisibility to reach them. Warlock, self Rez for obvious reasons. Strikes and other activities with checkpoints, that's a different story....

I try to use my super as much as possible and i appreciate people who do the same. I don't use any of my many heavy ammo synthesis because i am usually full from pick ups. I dont see the point in people being stingy with their supers (unless its a self res in a nightfall).

2 답변I main a Titan defender. I kind of have bubble standard places for each strike. Omnigul bubble in back of 1st room near ramp leaving the array or right in the center o the hive w/ at 14 and shotty. On ramp with omnigul. Etc. Sometimes I actually forget to bubble in other places

2 titans with helm of saint 14 and guantlets that give orbs w/ melee attackes were epic on omnigul. Dropped bubble under her several times and shot gunned for a while until screams then jumped out. Bubbles kept coming. I think we always had a bubble up the entire fight. lots of fun.

As a sunsinger I save my super for those unfortunate situations but if there are los of orbs on the ground I will use it, create more orbs for my teammates, and get my super again with the extra orbs. However, I will only do this if I can get my super back with all the orbs on the ground or close to getting it.

2 답변I use my supers depending on the situation. I generally hold on to my radiance during nightfalls. Last night we were about to wipe until I self rezzed.

1 답변I play as a defender Titan. The WoD is a "stand in one place and fight" and an emergency super. It is my preference to keep it as an emergency measure or pick those rare times when we are pinned down to pop it.

3 답변I run all 3 classes but the titan defender is the hardest one for me to figure out how to use the bubble offensively. I have all the exotic helms so like this nightfall I would placed a bubble outside the door that all the thrall usually rush, I wanted it outside so we would have room to blast them when they came through but then they never came thru? They entered then went..... Every direction but thru the door. Then the next time i was trying to put one on the walkway Omnigul is on. First 1 was right at the end by 2 doors, that didn't work so well cause they avoided it and we lost valuable shooting lines. So I tried to get it more toward middle, made it once, then next 2 times died before I could pop.

2 답변I seem to always get paired with fireborn sunsingers :( I saw one of those warlocks in trouble at the stairs at the undying mind strike. I actually stopped shooting so they would kill him. At least he starts spamming grenades after a selfres....

4 답변I like running the Titan since I can make orbs like crazy. Heavy kills. Check. Melee kills. Check. Plus the bubble that makes orbs when it takes damage. You can feed your team orbs an go on a super spree.
