We've all seen the hundreds of nerf posts every day for this gun lately but is it just the same vocal group of players or an actual majority? I would like to see an accurate representation of the community's opinion.
Do you think Thorn should be nerfed?
Please vote and bump to get this trending so that we can see a fair, unbiased measure of the community as a whole. Thanks!

1 답변Might as well call this poll 'How many of us use thorn?' Because everyone saying yes clearly doesn't like using thorn and wants to use other weapons (which is where I fall) and then people who use thorn who don't want it nerfed because the lack the skill to use anything else (which is where 60% of you fall)

Nerf it ! -blam!-ing sick of having people thinking theyre good and using a weapon that over compensates for theyre lack ofa skill because the gun does half the job for them. I still kick theyre ass its just annoyinsg when 10 out of the 12 people in my match would use something else

17 답변No. If people want everything to be equal, they need to go back to Halo. This game, by its very design, is meant to have shitty weapons, powerful weapons, and a handful of OP weapons that you have to do special things to get (bounties) or have to be really lucky to get (RNG). This is not meant to be a truly balanced game. Thorn is the most difficult of the exotic bounties. Therefore, it should be more powerful. Take away the DOT, and it becomes just another hand cannon. Nerf hand cannons, and they'll become just as useless as the ARs and Vex, which everyone cried about until they got nerfed into the ground. I firmly believe that Bungie is refusing to rebuff ARs because they want to let them stand as an example of what happens when everyone cries for a nerf. And rightfully so.

19 답변People who want the Thorn to be Nerfed need to stop and think that maybe other guns should be buffed and that merging needs to stop a buff for the range and damage of Auto Rifles would definitely give hand cannon users competition. But of course buffing one class means you most likely need to buff other gun classes so that they can keep up as well. Autorifle a should be able to dominate close to medium ranges just like hand cannons Scout rifles and pulse rifles should be ideal for medium to Long ranges People say shotguns should be nerfed because they're way to OP close range but it's only because of the really small maps in Destiny but they are fine where they're at Snipers should get a small damage boost when you get a chest shot but other than that they are fine Finally we have fusion rifles, they're range should Increased because now they're getting shit on by shot guns and other longer range weapons

Thorn is overused and overpowered. That's why I use it. I would even use it without the poison perk. It has an impressive cadency, range, impact and aim assist. It's too good. Same with shotguns. I never used one at PvP; now I can kill 4 enemies with 4 rounds.

4 답변It's funny how the only reason people want the thorn nerfed is because they're getting killed by if in the crucible. This gun can be obtained by EVERYONE. It's not exclusive. I agree that there is no weapon variety in the crucible but if you're trying to win you're going to use the strongest weapons. It's a game. Stop crying nerf and ruining the game for everyone else. Instead ask for buffs for other guns.

9 답변Thorn is not op is balanced other weapons are underpowered so that's why you see thorn in pvp and no suros just buff other exotics and it is Ok I own a thorn and to be honest hawk moon red are way better

FYI I own a thorn but I don't use it, I rattled get a nice juice kill that earn a easy cheesy one

To those who say "No" own Thorns. They don't want their skill to debuff with it. Maybe Bungie can rebalance the game and Buff ARs while keeping Hand Cannons at an OverPowered level. Maybe a suros can last 2 extra seconds against the burn with a chance of healing. Or the summoner lasting 3seconds against the Last Word.

8 답변Saying the thorn is "OP" is ridiculous. You have to be somewhat skilled to operate it in the first place. The reason it's over used has nothing to do with its power, well sort of. It is the burn element. Team shooting in trials makes things easier and the little "7's" you see when they're running away gives postion. What you should complain about when it comes to "shitty" players is you people using final round snipers and shooting two rounds off at spawn. Thorns an easier target though right? You don't have the talent to wield it.

4 답변I feel like it's just become a trend not to want the Thorn to be nerfed because it is usually people who don't use the Thorn that argue about how overpowered it is. The reputation you get for supporting the nerf is just terrible. If you said, "nerf the Thorn," then everyone would assume that you were that guy who just doesn't have it or one of those noobs who just can't win in a gunfight against it (or against any other gun for that matter). To be honest though, this is sort of true. If you ask if any Thorn user if they want the gun to be nerfed, they would probably say no without hesitation. Moral of the story (and I say this as a non-Thorn user), don't support the nerf. Don't be "that guy." You'll get the Thorn someday and the day you do, you'll wish that you hadn't supported the Thorn nerf the day that it occurs.
