Thorn Nerf Poll: Let's see the numbers...
We've all seen the hundreds of nerf posts every day for this gun lately but is it just the same vocal group of players or an actual majority? I would like to see an accurate representation of the community's opinion.

5 답변Screw this poll I'm tired of getting exotics that take awhile to get and then see them nerfed. Messenger and the last word are op too no one have complained about them.

I'm not fussed about the two headshot kill. But the two headshot kill across the map is a little ridiculous. When snipers are getting sniped by Thorn it's a little much. At short range I wouldn't mind getting killed by Thorn. But across the map or medium range where my Hopscotch excels at I should win those encounters. Just significantly reduce the range and damage over distance and the problem is solved. Scrubs will not want to go in close to use it and those skilled will continue to do so.

After a several thousand comments and who knows how many more votes, I've decided to give my opinion on the proper recourse for Thorn. I hadn't originally planned to do this but I abandoned Destiny a month or ago and so I feel that I can now give a truly unbiased opinion. I think that Bungie should simply lower the aim assist (substantially) and make the poison effect only apply to headshots. This would really settle the "crutch noob weapon" vs "high skill, high reward" argument once and for all. Just like No Land Beyond, this gun would only be usable in the hands of those with real skill and would reward them with a faster than average time to kill. More importantly, this change wouldn't completely kill the gun or take away it's defining characteristics. It might be worth reducing the disorienting screen effect as well but that's a lot less important. All that being said, I also agree that auto rifles and maybe even fusion rifles should be buffed just to the point where they are competitive choices once again. What do you guys think? I'm pretty sure I've read every suggestion out there and I really think this is the best fix possible. 3 답변I don't know if the thorn needs a nerf so much as the other guns need to get balanced better. The thorn now would run great against auto rifles of the past

2 답변What would they honestly nerf other than range on thorn that doesn't affect the other handcannons? Look at what happened to the auto rifles. SUROS was the only really OP auto rifle and yet all of the autos suffered from the buff. I'm much more in favor of buffing other guns but what if they are buffed too much?

1 답변They nerfed auto rifles severeley because suros was over used, thorn is used wayyyyyy more than suros ever was and bungie leaves it as is because the devs are shit scrubs that still need it to be op. That's why you'll never see a nerf on thorn

6 답변Can't believe 58% are at no. There's obviously an issue with it. Gotta admit I'm part of the "if you can't beat it join it" community. Guess the 58% are either oblivious to the term "balanced" or are so shit that they need an OP gun to get kills with now. Shame :(

2 답변all i see is thorn its so easy to use whats gay is i dont like the gun at all im good with it but cmon who isnt shouldnt have one gun thats op and a few guns that can compete with the gun still amazes me to see ppl saying no my god dude if bungie doesnt fix the pvp issues im going to end up playing a better game and most ppl probly would

5 답변Knowing Bungie, if Thorn gets nerfed, it'll turn back into the crappy 6 round, horrid reloading piece of crap that it used to be. No one wants that.
