so i live in the country and my family owns a dairy. as a result we have plenty of land, some of which is bordered by a river. during warmer months ive been known to host bonfires with friends by said river. This time however one of my close friends had 2 friends visiting from out of state and wanted to throw them a party. I agreed, asking how many people were invited and who to get an idea on what to expect and plan for. Day came and a few people show up at first. then a few more till everyone was here. a handful more than i was expecting but nothing to worry about. A few people left, a couple people showed up, everythings good. everyones having fun, drinking, socializing for a while. But then more and more people began trickling in until there was probably 40 or so people. the majority of which i didnt know but i was told everything was fine. (i was under the influence of certain drinks by this point) however keep in mind i was told no more than 25 people would come before hand when i asked my friend. my other good friend wanted to sleep in his truck, however his windows were rolled down and his battery was dead so he asked someone to move their car next to his so he could jump start it. a girl said she could and would move her car. everyone else was just around the fire and next thing we know the car lurches forward and we all yell for her to stop the car. her front end was hanging over the cliff above the river. the majority of us jump up and have her park it and make sure the car is stable (it was bottemed out in the middle) and that the girl is safe. I then moved my friends car to jump start the truck. he gets his truck hooked up to the car with a tow strap. we have another girl sit in the car and tell her what we want her to do. we tried many different methods but the truck couldnt get the car back up. (the car was front wheel drive and couldnt get traction and the truck didnt have 4 wheel drive.) we tried for at least an hour or more. some people werent helping, my friend that wanted to throw the party was still in a tent and called me (on a phone...) asking what was wrong. i told her she could take 3 step out of the tent and see and help us instead of staying in your tent. ( i was annoyed because more people were here than i was told, i didnt know the majority of them and someone almost died and a car was hanging over a river.) My friend with the truck then had someone get my cousin up at the house to get his jeep which has a nice winch. he came down and we started hooking it up and getting rock under the trucks tires for added traction. just then a girl (drunk ass bitch) was yelling over everybody and it was just making us more on edge. She was yelling "you all need to listen to me right -blam!-in now, put that car in neutral and floor it and itll come right up here" she said it over and over and over again and so i turned and said "with all due respect, please shut the -blam!- up. your idea wont work and your making everybody more nervous" she looked at me, disgusted, and said "-blam!- you im trying to help you guys. you think im stupid?" i said "yea, kinda" and turned back. we then used the winch with the truck and the car came up. everyone was happy even though only like 3 of us actually did anything. someone asked my friend that hosted the party whose car it was and she said "hannah i think? i dont know her" ...(in my head) you dont know her? do you know any of these people?!?! i was tired as it was like 4:30 AM and told everyone i was going to bed. they were all loud and i wanted another drink so i had a drink and was up for another 45 minutes and some people made their way to tents. i went to my bed and tried falling asleep. it was 5:30 AM now and about 7-10 people were still around the fire talking and being loud. after a few minutes i asked them to be a little quieter since it was so early and it was a long night for everyone. it didnt help much but i eventually passed out around 6:30-7. woke up at 9 AM. there were only 2 other cars and one tent and like 5 people, all people i knew. my 2 dogs were with us all night but i didnt see them, i assumed they were at the house. we cleaned everything up and headed up. when i got home my dad asked if the dogs were with me. i hadnt seen them but we assumed they were down by the river somewhere. however I havent seen them all day. also, around 3 PM today, i went to my game room and saw my ps3 and wii were missing. just unplugged from their cords. everything was left except the console. (cables, games, controllers, etc) ive had my friend that hosted the party ask as many people as she could but havnt heard anything back. i now assume that my ps3, wii and my 2 dogs were robbed from me last night. in summary: a shit load of random druggies showed up, someone almost died, a car was almost submerged, someone robbed me of video game consoles, someone stole my dogs (both are mutts and ones got a crippled back leg), and my "good" friend acted like everything was peachy the entire night and the only thing she apologized for was my dogs dissappearing. not having way more people show up, not for not caring. nothing. thats my story and im still on edge/freaking out about it and thanks for reading.
