My 6 year old got his first hate mail today from IB. He did quite well, 1.5 kd, and killed one guy three times by sticking a grenade to his head, then again with TLW. Guy raged about TLW and called him a scrub. I wrote back telling him a 6 year old did it and he called me a -blam!-ing liar. Proud daddy indeed!
Edit: cant believe this little blurb is trending. Thanks for support to most. The rest, play ur game I'll play mine...with my son.

My all time k/d is like .8 :/. I might have been his victim of he plays ps4 lol. Good for him though. He'll be wiping the floor with people when we finally get those futuristic headset concept games(you know where you put the thing on your head and you can see the game world? That stuff)

That's awesome! My son was 5 when Halo 3 hit, so that's when he started. He's 12 now, and a much better gamer than I am. He's also a straight A student, plays in band, and the leading scorer on his lacrosse team. My only criticism is that he doesn't challenge himself academically, IMO. Straight As mean school is too easy.

3 답변Thanks for positive words from most of you. As for the rest... My son plays baseball. He also loves to go to his grandparents home to help haul alfalfa out to feed the 100+ head of sheep on their ranch. Riding on a tractor and chasing lambs all day. He is also 4ft tall and 40 lbs. skinny right? Well, he has a stomach condition where this little flap that allows food to go into your stomach doesnt open all the way and he gets severe cramping from this, so when he feels like crap he plays some games, including Destiny, to get his mind off of it. I think his 100-200 hours will not hurt his development. You see, I'm 37. Between the age of 8 and about 16 I bet I put THOUDANDS of hours into gaming. Easy. I had a 3.5 GPA, joined the US Army to help pay for school. Yea I did deploy. Got out, got married, workes my way through 3 associates degrees, a BS on Network Information Systems, then a Masters in Information Security. I like thwarting hackers yall. I work for one of the largest Defense contractors in the world and have made over 150k per year for the last 3 years. All the while I was gaming. Yep it ruined me. And its going to ruin my son. I should just let him sit in pain with jacks and dice right? Gaming helps him, like it did his daddy. This community can be toxic but Im not mad. Just think before you post negativity. We all love to game and we are here for a good time and maybe some helpful info. Sociology lesson here, we are all about the same but some get their jollies from strangely angry online personas. Git gud scrubs, and have fun with the game. My son and I will.

1 답변I know what ya mean brother. My kids are 8+10 and can kick but at all different games. It's fun when our kids enjoy something we do, and are good at it. Ignore the negative comments. My kids are A students, outside 90% of the time, and in after school groups. But God forbid you mention your kids are good at gaming on a Gaming site ;)

1 답변Not to judge because I'd never tell another parent how to raise his kids, but as a father of an 11 year old and an 8 year old, I don't see myself letting my kids play a game like Destiny, especially in PvP. Just not an influence I want on my kids. I actually fear the day my oldest starts getting into online gaming. At the moment I let them play on the Wii U but that's about as far as it goes and only when a parent is in the room.
