2 답변When decoded, but its loottable will be fixed to the current available loottable when it dropped. So stocking them for the upcoming dlc wont do you no good.

2 답변작성자: TowerFaceHead 5/2/2015 4:58:11 PMWhen decoded. step 1: Get 5-10 blue engrams. step 2: Put said engrams in vault. step 3: Change to different class to that which earned said engrams. step 4: Decode engrams. step 5 Witness that they are for the new class and not the one who found them and realize that my logic is undeniable.

The engrams are coded to the current loot table available(hence the reason people have reported getting pre-dlc drops). But when decoded by the cryptarch the then select from that loot table, obviously the class decoding them effects the item given as people trade them to get drops for lower levels or mats for other class. Saving them is still not a bad idea tho... You can turn a ton in to rank up the cryptarch for mail and maybe you will get that gun/armor anyway and then upgrade to HoW caps.

5 답변What I want to know is why I got an entire set of legendary hunter gear (except boots) from engrams and an exotic hunter chest while maining a Titan. At that point I hadn't even created alt characters. So I ended up making a hunter since I had a full set (minus boots - only a blue set) and once I hit lvl 20 out on the gear and was a 27 right away. I think it is completely stupid for rng to give you items for a class you don't have or aren't currently using. The entire time you level from 1-20 the white, green and blue drops are all for your current class. So why would you get legendary and exotic pieces for a different class? Also have a legendary class item, chest, and boots for a warlock that is still sitting untouched at lvl 2.

작성자: Nismo 5/2/2015 7:58:47 PMI think it depends on wether its just a rare item or higher. Rare items are determined when you decode it. If it becomes a higher drop, like legendary or exotic, then it is determined when the engram drops. This is because when people saved their engrams for TDB and decoded it afterwards it was still old gear. So predetermined applies only on legendary and exotic items i believe. Not the rare items. And the weird thing is that rare items from decoherent engrams still have stats from pre dlc.

2 답변The contents of an engram is decided as soon as it is created. Don't bother saving them for HoW.

1 답변I thought engrams were rolled on decode because if you level they are supposed to decode to your level (or close). But its been a while since i leveled

5 답변The "guaranteed exotic" glitch alone proves that engrams are determined upon being decoded. I don't understand why this is still a discussion.

Both... You'll only get gear that was available at the time it dropped, but it will adjust according to character and level. Just my my experience - foolishly stocked blues for my new hunter, decrypted them all at lvl 2 and got lvl 10 gear :/ instead of gear with light which was what I had been hoping for.

It's both the dlc the item will be from is decided on pick up. So pre HoW engrams will never be HoW gear. However the class and level of the character that opens it determines which specific item it will be upon decryption. It should be noted though that saving engrams can still be insanely profitable because while they won't become HoW gear you can still decrypt them after may 19th to level the cryptarch who will give packages filled with engrams that are from the HoW so they will contain HoW gear.

1 답변Picked up. Reason? Bungie says so. Look at some of the info for the last dlc where they confirmed this
