While I do miss going to the store on a Tuesday and wondering to see what new games happen to have come out. There are still a few small titles that get pushed out without much announcement that can be pretty good finds. Plus the way games are today are good too. I don't want the old days to come back.

작성자: DjNormal 5/5/2015 4:28:56 PMI read gaming magazines back in the mid '80s. Before that there were newsletters and catalogs. So I've always seen the hype. I mean, it was a different hype, but it was still there. I used to rent before I bought though, since so many games were dreadfully bad. Even the ones that got good reviews. Things really haven't changed. Edit: There was pre-ordering back in the '80s too, though it was usually more of a reserve type thing. Assuming a retailer actually got the number of copies they expected. If everyone was sold out, you could always check Sears and Montgomery Wards, it's like people didn't realize they carried video games.
