Destiny is a game that was completed last year and chopped up and sold back to you, with the final piece arriving this coming month.
The "new" social region as well as 3/4 new missions were cut from the game and people were already talking about it in January/Dec as one of the things missing from the original release. Anyone replying with the traditional "source?" can look it up.
Anyways the reason we are all still here is the fact that Destiny is an AMAZING game. HOWEVER it is an amazing game that was chopped up and sold to us in 3 pieces, and was already done in November.
Anyone disputing this can look up the redditor comments by the head writer who left due to the arguments between himself and the Activision rep over cutting up and changing the storyline to make the traveler the good guy. (Bungie traditionally puts in a plot twist halfway through as with The Flood in Halo, or finding out the Traveler is actually the bad guy fooling us all, and is still damaged from the war with earth as in this one)
The game in itself is fun. It's just 5 minutes of fun. Ridiculous is also the fact that Bungie/Activision keep releasing cut content acting like they are doing us favors.
Obviously people who reply with homophobic comments such as "FGT" or other insulting comments which are traditional in response to any criticisms of destiny, have only this destroyed their own argument, as no one will take it seriously.
Edit: My problem is not just what was posted above, but the fact that the game was entirely too short . If this shooter rpg had shared the length of a traditional one (single player is more than 12 hours) I could have grudgingly lived with
Edit 2: Half of you people could work in PR:
"Don't like our product? Don't complain if you can't afford it child"
Edit 3: Unless you buy everything on a whim your "can't afford it?" arguments are hypocritical. Sorry fam.
The real amazement comes at the amount of delusion here on these forums in the face of a very calm OP. You have only helped my argument due to making yourselves all look like 11 year old children.
I do however appreciate those few that have been able to remain an adult even if I do not share your opinion.

1 답변I feel you, but there is no point in complaining if you are continuing to play. Trust me. I think most of us felt like "wait, is that it?" when we completed the last mission. AND then you got to level up to find out you can do weeklies, nightfalls, and VoG. EVEN if they lied and ripped us off, I think I got my money's worth. Plus, I can't blame them for being gritty, if I chose to pay for DLC.

I was really hoping that the picture was the proof that everyone claims is out here that proves without a doubt that the content was cut and that there was a raid advertised for how then cut for the arena. Unfortunately you have no proof but a reddit post by a gentleman claiming to be the writer of the game. I really wish people would stop beating a dead horse. You are unhappy, we get it but please just move on

Even if the design of the reef was already finished by the time of release date what makes you think ToO and PoE were ready? Nothing, you can't prove that. The terminus, a secret area discovered long ago, shows a totally different look in the last patch than what has been initially discovered, proving Bungie was still working on DLC areas AFTER the game launch. You sir failed.

I don't blame you whatsoever. I was in that same place as well. There's nothing that can be done about it now but to vote with your wallet. The game we got is the game we're going to have until Destiny 2. We're going to get new enhancements and quality of life improvements but the game code is the game code.

Then you get upset when people tell you to leave, your pointless waste of a thread isn't what people want to read all the time. So here is some advice shut up unless you have some constructive criticism.

They had the RNG loot system set up for good reasons. They were going to release a open FPS with MMO and RPG aspects. Then activision walked in and hired their own people. DESTINY ORIGINAL STORY You wake up in a unknown location that varied on your race. You travel to the tower and meet the speaker, he tells you of the traveler, its battle and your role in all of this. He sends you out to reclaim key locations on varied planets with varied locations. (This was meant to open the world and introduce the universe). SECOND GAME After reclaiming the key locations you are then sent out to obtain information from the computer systems in these areas. While looking for lost golden age intelligence you meet a group of ex-guardians. You follow them back to their base were you confront them and question them. They tell you of a holed age were the traveler was not a protecter but a killer and the speaker its minion to spread lies of the traveler. Your learn the darkness is a spawn of the traveler to stop it from destroying our worlds and way of life. So you decide to play double agent and spy on the speaker/last city on earth. THIRD AND FINAL GAME After a couple of years you have recruited a good sized group of guardians and plan to attack the city. After breaking the the wall you attack and kill the speaker. You (unexplained) obtain the power of the darkness and fight the traveler. (A final boss battle was to take place but was not sent into detail). EXCESS POINTS OF INTEREST throughout the game you can join factions, raids, strikes, fire teams, clans, and other untold fun. Factions were originally set up as six different groups that you could join. They each had their own motive and rewards. You could only join one. Raids were meant to take at lease 4 hours and require tight communication. Strikes were a lesser version of raids for people on a tighter schedule. Fire teams were meant to to a group of friend (more then 3) to get together and roam the waste lands if the golden age. Clans were designed to get larger groups together and bring players to bungie.net CAUTION THIS IS ALL THEORY Sparrow races were supposed to be available, along with space ship races. Betting on said races and card games/gambling. Trading was also speculated to be implemented into the game. ALL INFORMATION WAS OBTAINED THROUGH A CLOSED PRE-ALPHA BUNGIE WORKER, VARIED INTERVIEWS AND EXCESS SORCES. Activision came in and decided to cut up the game implement their own workers and terminate Marty-O- Donald along with the lead story writer leaving with out explanation. NOTE- the work size on destiny was half of halos designers and twice the size of the original group that worked on halo 1-3.

Chopped up or not, in the end, my question is: Is the content that they are selling worth the money they are asking for ? In my opinion, yes for the base game. "The Dark Bellow", not so much. It was relatively poor with some weakly designed content and systems. That said, I have some hope for "House of Wolves". There's some much needed changes to the current content and systems coming and even some content that is is locked behind the first DLC is being made available for everyone. Those are some small steps in the right direction (although they may be just taking them to sooth the player base). As for the new content, I say: let's wait and see. If you haven't bought the new DLC yet, I would wait until after It was released and then make a decision. Have fun.
