To all the people telling us "then leave"
Destiny is a game that was completed last year and chopped up and sold back to you, with the final piece arriving this coming month.
The "new" social region as well as 3/4 new missions were cut from the game and people were already talking about it in January/Dec as one of the things missing from the original release. Anyone replying with the traditional "source?" can look it up.
Anyways the reason we are all still here is the fact that Destiny is an AMAZING game. HOWEVER it is an amazing game that was chopped up and sold to us in 3 pieces, and was already done in November.
Anyone disputing this can look up the redditor comments by the head writer who left due to the arguments between himself and the Activision rep over cutting up and changing the storyline to make the traveler the good guy. (Bungie traditionally puts in a plot twist halfway through as with The Flood in Halo, or finding out the Traveler is actually the bad guy fooling us all, and is still damaged from the war with earth as in this one)
The game in itself is fun. It's just 5 minutes of fun. Ridiculous is also the fact that Bungie/Activision keep releasing cut content acting like they are doing us favors.
Obviously people who reply with homophobic comments such as "FGT" or other insulting comments which are traditional in response to any criticisms of destiny, have only this destroyed their own argument, as no one will take it seriously.
Edit: My problem is not just what was posted above, but the fact that the game was entirely too short . If this shooter rpg had shared the length of a traditional one (single player is more than 12 hours) I could have grudgingly lived with

Edit 3: Unless you buy everything on a whim your "can't afford it?" arguments are hypocritical. Sorry fam.
The real amazement comes at the amount of delusion here on these forums in the face of a very calm OP. You have only helped my argument due to making yourselves all look like 11 year old children.
I do however appreciate those few that have been able to remain an adult even if I do not share your opinion.

2 답변Only read first sentence and i already disagree, destiny was never finished. That is exactly the whole problem. Bungie couldnt make it in time, activision wanted to push an a-title before the christmas releases. Whatever wasnt finished yet is being sold as dlc.

2 답변Most MMO style games are pay to play. Destiny is currently ps4s version of an MMO ( yes its not massive I understand that 6v6 is not massive ). Instead of pay to play, which would have alienated a lot of console players, they instead chopped it up and split the price for its duration up that way. I think its quite smart really.

I have read threads like this before and I have always wondered a few things. Ok first of all everyone says that the game was cut up on three parts. That it was suppose to be a whole game and they just wanted to squeeze more money out of us. That we didn't get what we were shown last year. How do we not know that this was their plan all along? Show us bits and pieces of the whole plan and release some as dlc and not all of it on release. Ok secondly there are videos of the writer stating parts of the story line saying that the traveler is bad and all that. How do we know that what he is saying is even true? I would think after he left that they would have him signing a no disclosure agreement or trying to sue him for releasing the information ahead of time. Like I said these are just a few thoughts I have had

1 답변The game got chopped up because Bungie was given a release date before they were done working. It's happened plenty of times. Publisher wants game out by day X, and if the game isn't done yet, tough. Cut what isn't done and quickly cover the holes. I don't doubt PS4-XBOne being released after development was underway set them back, since they had to then re-code what they had in two more ways. Overall, and comparing to other rushed games like KotOR2, it is pretty clear that things being cut was due to a rushed release, not some evil scheme to take $30 from you.

I'm guessing you got your copy of destiny at Christmas because this is an argument day oner's have been having for months, that picture is a great illustration of what happens to destiny, but also what is happening to gaming in general. The fact is I bet even comet isn't all that great but people will still play on being milked of their hard earned cash for an experience that has just been cut and pasted.

1 답변Here's the skinny: •do I believe the game was "gutted" for profit - yes •Do I think this will be an abused trend with other companies? - yes •Could Bungie have done better with DLC release (more content)? - yes •Would I do the same in their shoes (knowing business)...yes I generally don't mind anyone voicing their opinions or concerns, it's non-constructive feedback that gets the worst backlash. Starting a post with "I'm leaving" will just anger the masses who like the game. Maybe "this is how I would have done destiny" or "Why did so much get cut, anyone feel a bit ripped off?" Are "softer" approaches (though it would still get some harsh comments).

1 답변I love Destiny, but I have to agree. I was so let down with the story. I didn't mind not being able to go "wherever you can see." I thought that was unrealistic. The game had such an amazing story with the potential to rival (maybe even surpass) some of the greatest game plots out there and then all the drama happened and they bring in the Grimoire dude? Huge letdown. FYI, I still love this game and hope that after enough DLC's it'll have a cohesive and entertaining IN GAME story.
