Why all the thorn hate?
Jesus Christ, I bet it's people that don't have it, or just suck in crucible..that's all.

OMG They need to shut up. This post has people barfing up hate comments like fat kids love twix. If you do not have the Thorn hand cannon, shut the hell up and get to work on those bounties. - - - - - - - - - - No more hate.

2 답변Since the range nerf on hand cannons, I haven't been destroyed by it. It's still really good, but it used to be even better, on par with the SUROS. I don't have a problem with Thorn, but I do have a problem with TLW. And yes I do have it, have had since before TDB and even I must admit its ridiculously stupid easy to use.

I have it, do decent in crucible (avg. 1.5 K/D), but thorn is just annoying. The main reason being that it has high range and good stability, so they can shoot you twice in the head and leave, as the lingering damage will insure a kill. Most of the weapons require you to be exposed for a long period of time to do your damage, thorn only takes as long as it takes for 2 headshots. When you factor in lag, where you are shot and you're dead before you even had a chance to react, people get annoyed.

11 답변More complicated than that. Thorn (I have two of them) is a very annoying (and frustrating) weapon to have to go up against. One that you will NOT be successful against unless you change your playstyle to avoid its strengths and exploit its weaknesses. If you try to get into strafing match out in the open against any DECENT player who's rocking Thorn, you are going to lose unless you're carrying Red Death or (pre 1.1.1) Suros. The fast-fire rate, strong aim assist and DoT will make short work of you. So your only options against it are to either get in fast-and-close with a shotgun or other special weapon that can one-hit kill.....or take cover and chip-away that the guy carrying it. ...and a lot of people either don't have the patience to do this, or resent being forced to change how they play to deal with it. So they want its teeth pulled.

Because ppl in here look for the weapon that kills them the most in PvP to be nerfed then players move on to a dif weapon then they want that weapon nerfed ect,ect,ect just a bunch of whiners pathetic ppl I get killed plenty by that iron banner shotgun you don't see me crying NERF,NERF,NERF THAT WEAPON ppl just hate to lose is just that.

1 답변Tlw is worse, along with felwinters, along with efrideets spear with final round, along with jolders hammer and red death. Also blink shotgunners using mida as a speed boost to blink across the map.

why? 1. cuz People keeps dying from it. i Lmao everytime i see them cry about it. 2. cuz they dont have it and cant finish the bounty for it. so they wanna nerf it; but once they get it they defend it and say dont nerf it. people are funny. i enjoy watching them suffer

1 답변I think it's jealousy and inexperience. I've found that my team has an easier time taking down Crota when I use thorn's DOT to keep his shields from recharging, but I can't tell you how many times I've put three or four shots into someone and they didn't die.

My two cents, I'm not very good at pvp but I love it!! I really think all guns should be left alone, I believe if you get killed often by a certain gun, you need to adapt, thorn in my opinion is a great gun that is fairly difficult to obtain (I don't have it) so if it gets nerfed what's the point in getting it? I know it's frustrating to get killed time and time again by the same gun, but really it's part of the fun of pvp when you actually kill the guy that has given you a big headache (and then sits on your head 😞) anyway I'm not very good at pvp so what do I know, I just enjoy this game immensely!!

3 답변I have the Thorn, but choose not to use the weapon, out of respect for other guardians. I have used Thorn in the past, but I could not reconcile my conscience with the damage over time effect, it has gotten me far more kills than I deserved.

4 답변I suggest pvp matches where you are only allowed to use the specified gun, if you dont have it you cant play it. Imagine pvp matches where everyone is using just thorn , hawkawesome or whatever gun that is specified that week.

14 답변Its OP...Thats that...It has to much range, TTK is wayyy to fast, and to add to that it has DOT... Its just to good at mid-long range seeing as how you can just sit next to corners and let DOT do the work for you...PS: I do have it and I do use it

I think Thorn just has a lot of little things that when added together make it a very strong weapon. The time to kill is extremely low, one of the lowest in the game right now, the DoT can kill you, but it also keeps your shields down for 6 seconds, which is a long time in PvP, and recently it turns your whole screen green, which makes it harder to see, especially around the edges where it is almost black. It's hip fire crosshairs are very easy to use, essentially put the persons head in the circle and you've got yourself a head shot. It fires fast enough that you can get 3 body shots off if the person misses while shooting at you, 3 bodies is a kill. Bungie kinda hasn't done anything with hand cannons as far as range goes. Auto Rifles are close range, Pulse are mid range and Scout are long range. Where hand cannons fit in there, I'm not sure. Their range stat indicates they are closer than Auto Rifles, but their kill stats indicate they are competitive at scout rifle ranges with the best scout rifles, and almost everywhere else in between. All in all Thorn is a gun that has high rewards for not a very large skill curve, which is probably why it's so widely used. You are able to play extremely defensive with Thorn and still be aggressive, because the DoT keeps your enemies shields down for so long.

4 답변People that use it literally rely on the Mark perk. It's got way too much range and it's just overall op as hell. I own and will never upgrade it or use it for anything . I mean when you can basically two shot anyone no matter where you hit them it's pretty ridiculous .
