Destiny: adjusting weapons, armor, Exotics, and gameplay

[u]Lord of wolves[/u] In addition to Lord of wolves upgrade: -Increases ADS movement speed (for the user of the Lord of wolves) [u]Dreg's promise[/u] -Restore original damage pre-patch [b][u]Exotic armor[/u][/b] [u]ATS/8 Arachnid[/u] -Increased movement speed while golden gun is active. [u]Celestial Nighthawk suggestions[/u] -Night hawk fires 2 shots -Each shot is as powerful as 3 This improves versatility [u]Mk. 44 Stand Asides[/u] In addition to Be somewhere else upgrade: -Shoulder charge kills with this equipped causes victim to drop specail ammo. Could also use a more seemless way to join a fire team of a person you are already currently sharing the same space with, without having to leave and come back.[/spoiler] [i]Destiny Crucible[/i] -Increase the sound enemies make while running/walking.     Thanks for sharing. This update (for the crucible) in a nutshell: - No more thorn spam. - No more last word in most of the maps (bad, in my opinion, since last word was the hardest weapon to use for a "newbie"). - MIDA forever. - Shotguns still one-shot you from quite far to be honest, which is not necessarely bad (I don't like it, though). - Teamplay is now required. - Bad Juju is one of the few alternatives to the MIDA. What happens next? someone will cry and MIDA will be nerfed? Good job in any case, at least now I am forced to use some old weapons that I didn't look at for a long while, like the Universal Remote, MIDA, Bad Juju, plan C... But I'm still disappointed about the fact that sniper rifles are not really a must in this game, you can easily live using a MIDA and a shotgun as a secondary weapon, because the MIDA will most of the time do the role of a generic rifle + a sniper rifle. Things to do: - Bring back the last word, at least give it a chance to be able to be compared to many other weapons. The last word is a symbol of the Destiny's multiplayer, you're killing it with such an update. - Find a solution for shotguns, they are still incredibly powerful in my opinion. - Sniper rifles: do something to make them a bit more useful. - Universal remote: Should be exactly like any other secondary shotgun, but more powerful because exotic, it currently is good after a kill just because of its buffs.

  • The Good = AR's, Necrochasm, Hard Light, Dragon's Breath, Word of Crota, SGA & NLB. The Bad = Pulse Rifle nerfs, Shotgun nerfs, Last Word nerf, Thorn nerf (though Last Word has more damage from the hip, and thorn does get a DPS increase from the DoT stack). The Ugly = We all guessed it. 1-) Gjallarhorn, this one MIGHT not be as bad as people are expecting but it's definitely not going to be as good as it was. Ice Breaker, what....the......-blam!- bungie?!!? What in the blazes were you thinking? I, for one will still camp in PvE with my Ice Ice Baby but it sure as hell will be annoying. The final one - Black Hammer. Bungie has probably destroyed it :,-( Now Black Hammer takes from your reserve, although it might not be that bad if it takes only one bullet for every mag refill (which is 3 shots). But yeah, this is just my opinion about this Ice Breaking, Gjallarhorny and Black Hammering 'Weapon Balancing'!

  • Only PVP, according to the whiners. Make all the PVP weapons do same damage and let skill rule as it should be. Reverse all nerfs to PVE weapons as it should be.

  • No land beyond needs more reserve ammo, a buff in the master perk to have goliath and crowd control, and please, get rid of mulligan and add a perk that is actually useful. Everything else in the gun is perfect for what it was designed for.

      1. ARs simply need to have their pre-patch 1.1.1 damage rates restored. The range nerf they got in that patch was necessary to create room in the game for pulse rifles. The damage nerf was catastrophic and unnecessary. 2. Shotguns are fine. The problem is that Bungie nerfed all the weapons that exacted penalties for aggressive shotgun use....and each time you nerf a weapon you push the distance inside of which shotgunners no longer have to fear being killed before getting into the range of hteir own weapon further out. Bungie needs to design larger maps with more vertical levels. So shotgunners are forced into using their primary weapons in order to stay alive. 3. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Pulse rifles are perfect right where they are. They are mid-range, accuracy weapons. Their current state is one of the FEW things patch 1.1.1 got right. 4. NO. Scout rifles aren't close range weapons. They are designed to be LONG range, accuracy weapons. If you're in a close range fight with a scout rifle, you've made some sort of tactical mistake leading up to that. The only thing scout rifles need are larger maps with more verticality....so that players have more chances to create long-range engagements. 5. No. Thorn is fine where it is. It is only a problem because----like shotguns----Bungie BROKE all the weapons that used to keep Thorn (and all the other exotic hand cannons) in check. Namely ARs. Buff ARs back up to what they were pre-patch 1.1.1...and Thorn users will chased back to mid-range, and its use will be unattractive in all by a few really good shots with it. The other problem is Trials of Osiris. The current Crucible playlist is glutted with play modes that force players into close proximity with one another. Which decreases the skill needed to use a hand cannon effectively, and increases the ability of Thorn's DoT effect to control the flow of play. 6. Never used NLB, so can't comment. 7. The recoil on SGA need to be made LESS RANDOM. But it still needs to remain significant. Otherwise you run the risk of turning it in to a God Gun. But less random recoil during firing would make the weapon more practical to use, and make it worth being an exotic. Especially in the face of the WEALTH of really good legendeary MGs in the game. 8. Word of Crota. Either increase the fire rate and the magazine size. Or increase the impact. 9. The grenades are fine as they are. The only thing I might change is make Tripmines LARGER. So that they are easier to see when somene is throwing one at you. I died numerous times in fights with hunters where I've gunned down the hunter....only to back into a tripmine that he threw at me during the fight that I never saw. This never seems to happen with Titans and lightning grenades.

                • Some people get so defensive at this idea. I feel like they may be insecure in their skill-level without the thorn/last word/felwinters (or matador etc) If you even [u]dare[/u] use anything that is not a thorn or last word you immediately put yourself at a disadvantage. I want to see fusion rifles make a return and this blink-shotgun or snipe you with the last word from way to far away to go away out of pure frustration..

                      • Why would a exotic hand cannon would have only 7 bullets? Why AR's should dominate at close to mid range and nit hand cannons? I like some of the changes others not to much.

                            • TLDR um idk if the game needs any ballance since everytime they try it doesn't work. So many things OHK in crucible why not just keep using them instead of other things? Survival of the fittest, players will always go for the highest advantage they can get. Why crucible changes go to the PvE I don't know... it's stupid. All they had to do was buff everything to be at the same kill potential.
