4 답변Maybe it will be transmog? I haven't seen anything about the process, but you're assuming it's just a couple clicks and you're done. Maybe it has to be like this: You get a level 34 armor "orb" for your helmet (for helmets only), and you can use that on ANY helmet piece. So a green helmet can be infused with light, and an exotic can be increased in light. Rarely drops. But I doubt it'll be going to see the vanguard and they upgrade that piece. Maybe that "orb" will have certain attributes/perks so you can try to obtain multiple "orbs" and put them on different helmets, erasing the old perks and applying the new ones. I'm just thinking out loud now.

My only complaint about the game is that high level gear is limited and everyone ends up looking the same. I'm glad that the VoG raid gear will be upgradeable. Even if the perks don't match, that's ok, it's a user choice.

2 답변"With now being able to upgrade old gear, there will be less gear." How does this statement make sense? Wouldn't there be more gear?

2 답변작성자: dead mans 4/22/2015 4:30:28 PMSo what your saying is you want vog to be pointless Crotas end to be pointless Vendor gear to be pointless Osiris and prison of elders gear to have a few month life span before they release a new raid and make it pointless All gear should live a short life and then, because of a new dlc, die? What bungie is giving us: More reason to do vog More reason to keep old raid gear (raid specific perks & still max light) More high end gear in general which is what every crybaby has asked for More content since getting raid gear to level 34 is gonna require something and something is more than the nothing we usually do to 33 light gear. Problem? I guess your just mad because its that time of the month

작성자: Raymonator 4/22/2015 4:44:15 PMYou can upgrade your old gear AND get new IB, Osiris and PoE gear to get to level 34. That is way more options which appeals to a much wider audience. Nothing but a win for Bungie on this one but let's see what they show in an hour. I am so excited to have several different armor sets to complete and then mix & match for awesome load out combos.

You said in your fifth edit: " A lot of you are having trouble understanding that letting us upgrade our old content is not giving us new content. It is showing that Bungie would rather add less content and just reuse everything" These things should not be mutually exclusive. Having VoG gear upgraded is absolutely necessary, because it's arguably the best part of this game, PvE-wise. A raid should be more rewarding that lucking out on a strike or getting a faction item after grinding easy coins. Everyone can farm for marks and coins with little to no challenge. In my mind, letting us upgrade old raid gear is the smartest thing they can do. However, this should NOT mean that new weapons or armor isn't added to the game. I fail to see how these things should cancel each other out. I do not understand your logic. You know what Bungie did with TDB - they didn't expand on the items, they replaced them. Every new player instantly had access to better gear than those who grinded for ages before TDB was releases. Yes, there were new guns, but the old ones were scratched from the vendor inventories (asinine solution, Bungie). If you were new or didn't keep your old items, you couldn't get them anymore unless you lucked out on some nightfall drop. Would you like for HoW to do the same - scratch TDB items from the inventories (thus replacing instead of expanding) and make VoG items even more disposable? This is the best scenario: - Raid gear is upgraded and isn't rendered useless. - Vendors would cycle their inventories. Pre-TDB, TDB and HoW items (yes, new vendor items to HoW, but not replacing anything). Every legendary vendor item would have the same maximum attack/light. - Arena would drop items that are not obtainable by any other means. - Maybe add some more rare items too, some of them are pretty good in ROC strikes even, possibly with the next strike list too. Because, again, having one thing should and does not mean that it excludes the second thing.

You raise a good point about uniqueness of 34-gear but I trust Bungie to address this. After all, if you just upgraded it as is, VOG would be inferior to CR armor because of the perks, and likely lesser dis/int/str numbers. I think there is more on the way.
-
Flawed logic all around. Do I want upgraded level 34 of anything in case prison of elders gear doesn't drop? Yes. What if you don't have a complete set of new 34 gear? What to do? Oh wait just upgrade old gear to make yourself competitive in new modes.

Before dlc there was one way to get to 30 (correct me if i am wrong, its been awhile) -VoG After dlc there are 2 ways to get to 32, so 2 sets of 32 armour -CE -Iron Banner -HoW from what we can see it can be assumed there are 5 sets of 34 armour -VoG -CE -Iron Banner (when it comes around) -trials of osiris -arena gear All i see if more differential to the destiny community with level 34, not everyone wearing the same gear

Osiris gear and weapons is confirmed as of now and it would be stupid NOT to have arena gear. In that regards we are safe in assuming for now. Im glad we can upgrade out old armor but I can see your concern with no new gear being added. As of now there is as far as we can tell.

I don't know about that considering the vog and ce gear revolve around their own respective raid, so I couldn't see old gear being any more superior than new gear. Also, I would assume that the arena will have gear of its own, so in comparison to old gear, arena gear would more than likely be more efficient in its intended activity just as crota gear works better than vog glass gear in crota's end. In fact by doing this, they allow us to go back to old raids without being overleveled and to progress in old content.in the end, I digress because I do not know what bungie will or intends to do as their business is not as transparent as it should be, and I can not speak on their behalf, but I don't think this will absolutely break the game.
-
The only way I can see gear upgrades being detrimental is in Iron Banner, where people can theoretically skip out later endgame content and still be on par with other players. Other than that though, it's going to offer us a wider range of customisation. Something we've all been crying out for.

What if the prison of elders forces you to fight enemies other than just the fallen (which I think would be pretty cool and allow for the replayability they claim it has) and it incorporates the relics and oracles and things that the old raid gear is designed for, I think that would be an interesting use of the old gear and give a reason to have the old gear upgradeable. Like how cool would it be to have a wave of vex where you have to run down a long hallway of supplicants with oracles spawning as you move forward, that would make great use of the vault gear and give a reason to have it at level 34. It would also create interesting set ups. Say the next wave is platforms that you have to reach and to get the next one to appear you need to kill a sword bearer and a gate keeper. You could split the armor between people in your fire team or have specialists for each enemy type. I just think this would be a cool idea, don't mind me.
