The upgrade all gear is beneficial for both the grinders and the casuals. Casuals can get up to level Grinders can multiple sets of maxed out gear and look as diverse as they want. Casuals will still need to run the big events to get their upgrade material and it'll take them a fair bit longer.

HoW vendor and arena gear will all have some brand new perks. As an aside, the material you need to upgrade legendaries will be difficult to obtain, only found during certain nightfalls (probably the DLC strike), the Arena, Iron Banner and trials of Osiris. This stuff won't be as readily available as displayed during the stream. You won't see people with fully maxed VoG gear week one.

I want New Gear, New Look, New Perks, but want to upgrade old Weapons though (Fatebringer, Vex, Gjally, and Black Hammer) VoG Titan Helmet, Crota Warlock Helmet. They look awesome. So I am excited about that. My only complaint and this is my opinion only. Why purchase DLC if can reach the Max Light Level without it. I just hope the content is worth the purchase. If not I might not purchase a new DLC if there is no need, But I will see when HoW drop's

So that's a least two new sets of gear plus all new faction gear at the tower (New Monarchy, Dead Orbit, FWC, and 2 sets of Vanguard gear), and even new Iron Banner gear... So lets see, that's 6 new sets from previous factions, plus 2 new factions (at least). So 8 entirely new sets of gear that can be maxed (and even mixed and matched to have a unique look?) without even beginning to consider old raid/legendary gear... Yeah, I'd say there's enough new gear. [spoiler]And transmogs better? So this is how your epic story goes when talking with another person--"So how did you earn that awesome looking gear"... "Oh, I just bought some gear and changed it to actually look cool. 4 답변Since we STILL don't know what the arena will be like, we can't even say for sure that the arena armor will have specific perks for it. But now you can reach the max light level by also leveling up old gear by using orbs that drop in the arena, nightfall, and trials. You say this all like there won't be ANY new gear in the game and that the arena will be useless. You should probably wait until they announce their plans for HoW next week before jumping to each and every conclusion. This DLC has had nearly everything the player base has asked for, but people still complain.

7 답변I believe your thinking is flawed. Expansions are intended not to just bring new content but new ways to play with existing content. Transmog is a great idea but it isn't ready yet (may never be). As far as new gear goes, there is new gear obtainable via Trial, Elders and vanguard/crucible/factions. Then you have the ability to refresh your existing gear to the max level. The amount of gear they've added is the same as TDB and when Destiny launched, it is actually more than either of those instances. As for taking non-DLC VOG gear and leveling to 34, I doubt it will be minimal effort. Etheric light is more plentiful in HOW paid dlc activities and less so in non-DLC activities.

3 답변Everything you posted is completely irrelevant since you didn't listen to the video. You will be able to get all "new" faction, vanguard, crucible, trials of osris, queens guard, and prison of elders gear thats a lot of new gear to play with and as for the old stuff? You got to play all the top tier stuff to get those etheric shards to upgrade the old gear which you won't be able to play until you finish all the new story content.

I dunno I was under the impression that house of wolves would contain new activity specific level 34 armour. So a set from Osiris and a set from prison of elders. I also thought it would have new level 33 or 34 armour from the vendors too? if that is indeed true, then we r getting as much new armour as we ever got PLUS access to our old armour. Which means they didn't stiff us on new armour at all. So...yeh
