Thorn IS op.
Before I get a bunch of op is fgt let me explain something. I use thorn a good bit and I realize it's weakness and strong points.The only thing that I think thorn should be nerfed on is fire rate. This would make thorn definitely still a threat but just a little more time between each shot would allow for some countering.
I know that a gun like this does take skill believe me but the time to kill on thorn is faster than most guns.
Edit:I would like to thank the people who were nice and agreed with me or didn't. I just wanted people's opinion on my idea and I got mixed reviews about it,but I stand by it please debate further and I will too.
Everyone who says that I need to get better or change my style just know I came to this conclusion by using thorn weeks on end and I think it's a valid nerf

I shred Thorn users with Abyss Defiant, it's all a matter of assessing the situation before shit goes down. I'm quite a shot with assault rifles, figuring out every tactical inch of the map and using certain objects for cover so I'm not quite at the CQC shotgun range to be countered: 1. Peak out. 2. Lay a line of shots anticipating enemy movement for either warning shots, or to land staggering critical hits when enemies pop out. 3. Hide for return fire (and for Thorns DoT) 4. Peak out when they least expect it. 5. Finish the job. Rinse and repeat :)

Most hand cannons kill at the same rate. Hawkmoon will kill you faster than thorn and so will the last word. Hawkmoon will one shot crit hit kill a lower level in iron banner( if it ever comes back!). The Lars word will destroy thorn in a close battle. I don't think thorn is op but it is by far the most frustrating gun to get killed by. Yes I use thorn and yes I suck at pvp. .

3 답변Stop with the damn OP posts. Each exotic gun should be OP in certain situations. Nerf the range of the hand cannon class perhaps but leave those decision to the dev team. You complaining about fire rate is moronic and would push the lash for example back above Thorn. In close to moderate range the hand canon when well placed should smoke you and should be OP in comparison to a scout/pulse/auto rifle. Get in to close and the shotgun becomes OP. Just absolutely don't need to complain about stuff like this. Adapt your play style and let the dev team handle the challenge of balancing the weapon classes

5 답변Nothing is OP. Every "OP" gun out there has a way to counter it. Don't like people using Thorn? Use Red Death. It's got just as fast of a TTK and it's namesake perk will heal you before Thorn's DoT gets you. Any gun in the hand of a skilled player will win firefights. The secret to winning in the Crucible is to adapt and overcome. A piece of advice on top of that (one that I have a hard time following) is to leave emotion at the door. Grudge matches will usually end badly for the person that is emotionally involved.
