This should teach you, and ALL gamers, to stop giving your money to companies before you see what you are buying.
By giving them the money up front, where does the pressure come from to really create? If they were coming into HoW needing killer sales to turn a profit, they would kill it.
Stop paying for preorders and this stuff stops happening.
MolestedMoose, knock it off with the name calling. You can bounce off my thread, or you can act like an adult.
This isn't a rant ABOUT House of Wolves.
This is a LESSON to people to KNOW what they are buying. Buy stuff before they prove its merit YOU GET BURNED.

1 답변작성자: Grzzldgamer 4/16/2015 3:35:43 PMThe cult of preordering is how this is achieved. By getting your commitment to purchase a game in advance, when all you've got to go on is a marketing campaign, you're signalling that you, as a consumer, are totally cool spending $40-$60 on a game simply on the strength of how it's been marketed. And it works, with many games tallying up preorder counts in the millions. Want to know why there aren't any demos anymore? This is why. Want to know why content is withheld from everyone's game and is instead sprinkled across various competing retailers? This is why. Want to know why there's now an accepted norm where those paying more for a game can sometimes gain competitive advantages? This is why. Publishers don't need to sell you on their games, because by slavishly throwing money down before they're even out, you've signalled your intent to take whatever it is they give you. So...maybe we could all just stop doing it? At least for big or even big-ish games (those that will be genuinely rare due to a limited production run, well, do what you gotta do!). Walk into a store the day a game is released, or a week after, and just buy the game then. You won't notice much of a difference. But retailers and publishers will. Eventually.

3 답변They haven't even revealed everything in the DLC yet. lol You are acting like you have already seen it all and because the DLC doesn't have a raid it won't be worth the money we paid for it? I personally will wait until it launches to judge if it was worth the $15 I paid for it. They still have to make the DLC appealing to people who didn't buy the Expansion Pass and give them a reason to buy it. You're not even giving them a chance. Why don't you hold your judgment until you have seen what the DLC offers? I think this post makes you look stupid. You have almost no information on the DLC but yet you're trying to tell people it isn't worth their money?
-
Remember what South Park said I waited until October to get the expansion pass. After a month of playing, I loved the game so far, I didn't care if the DLCs sucked or not. Just the original game was one of the best I've ever played. If I like something, I'll support it monetarily. Once I stop liking it, I'll stop buying stuff for it.

1 답변I made another post similar to this earlier. Gamers need to be better consumers. We aren't forced to buy a game or season pass.
-
I agree and it taught me for sure. I will NEVER buy another season pass from bungie/activision again. But thats just me. Im sure some fanboys will be eager to take that proverbial dick in the bootie from them as soon as they offer it up.

2 답변I bought both HoW and The dark below together. who cares if there no new raid, The arena was said to have replayability. Meaning people will actually have a new experiance each time played. This is a great feeling knowing that every raid and strike is one specific path. I am excuted for HoW raid or not and if theres no raid now, it means they are working on comets atm and rather than 2 garbage raids there will be one huge awsome one.

13 답변I personally can't understand why people are already writing HoW off before they have even played it. If you play it and still think it's shit, then fair enough.
-
18 답변Yeah lesson learned. I wouldn't buy HoW had I known, but too late now. I bought the season pass expecting a couple of raids like VoG but seeing that isn't what expansions include I'll wait and see before buying future expansions.
-
2 답변You mean don't invest in a season pass before playing. Preorders just reserve a game you want, and usually net you some nice extras depending on the retailer. Unless you do it digitally (no refunds for digital purchases), brick and mortar stores will usually refund your deposit for a game if you decide you don't want to pick it up. Mine does at least.

2 답변Learned my lesson many years ago. I try to spread the word on these forums but people get angry when you try to help them

6 답변some of the burden should be placed on the developer also, they should quit putting out half-assed content regardless if we pre-paid for it or not.
-
without a full blow end game raid, that actually takes weeks and coordination and teamwork to complete and master what are all end gamers going to do till comet?? in the end even horde mode is gonna lose its appeal, all we have is trials of osiris, a glorified iron banner
-
1 답변Yes house of wolves does not have a raid. But did dark below have a arena. The arena is new. They did not specifically said two.
-
1 답변They never promised a raid. The only said expansion pass. So technically, you payed for exactly for what you will get

It came with the limited edition so I was upset for a day. Now I could care less, the game entertains me enough. The only thing I hope for is servers hosted by bungie. The lag just kills me sometimes, also sometimes when I join with a friend I start getting a red bar. I hate to think I turn into one of those laggy -blam!-ers that we all hate.
