So I was having a discussion with someone and they argued because they don't believe in God that they will be punished for eternity by God in hell.
When it's actually the opposite ..... God does not do the punishing ....
You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property. You have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is! But reach out and take away everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face!” “All right, you may test him,” the LORD said to Satan. “Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically.” So Satan left the LORD’s presence. (Job 1:10-12 NLT)
God allows satan to punish people to test their faith and glorify him through every situation. God will not punish you for eternity for not accepting his son as your savior. Hell isn fully described but I believe the greatest punishment will be eternal separation from our creator and knowing who HE is and not being able to be near him or worship him.
What is your take on this subject? I would like to know honest answers .... I won't be replying to trolls and people trying to start a fight. Have a blessed day.
Edit: I'm not here to fight or argue with you nor do I judge or condemn anyone for their beliefs, remarks, questions or replies. So don't get that wrong. I just simply want to discuss.
Edit: 700 posts ..... It's been good discussing with you guys.
Edit 2:1000 posts ... Good to see the word of God is being seen by so many. Once again happy to discuss with all of you your opinions about the subject. I did not create this thread to judge, fight, or condemn.
Edit 3: 1700 posts ... It's astounding how many people that reply that know nothing about the bible, nor have read the bible but yet want to argue it's truth, or that the bible has contradictions/errors in it.
Edit 4: 2000 posts ... I have really enjoyed discussing everything with you guys. I am just planting a seed, it is not my job to harvest it.
Edit 5: read and study Roger Oakland, evolutionist, biologist turned Christian .... Very amazing story of redemption and salvation. You might learn something from him .... He's smarter than me at explaining it all.

1 답변작성자: Colt1775 4/30/2015 6:51:42 PMJohn 14:6-7 NLT 6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. 7 If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!” Does any more need to be said? NOTE: I am not saying God sends people to hell, people send themselves. God is not responsible for our actions.

9 답변There is nothing concrete in the Bible about hell/eternal punishment. Most all that is believed about hell today was concocted by the early church. That said, your logic is flawed. God is all knowing and all powerful. If God sends us to hell, He is the one punishing us. Further, Satan is condemned to hell/the earth, and has no true authority over us. Lastly, God DOES punish people. The Old Testament is riddled with God's wrath.
When he looked behind him and saw them, he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two female bears came out of the woods and tore up forty-two lads of their number. 2 Kings 2:24

But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his. So whenever he went in to his brother’s wife he would waste the semen on the ground, so as not to give offspring to his brother. And what he did was wicked in the sight of the LORD, and he put him to death also. Genesis 38:10-11
There's also
The great flood Sodom and Gomorrah (including Lots wife) The fall The plagues of Egypt
Nothing else is coming to mind, I just woke up.

3 답변God is love. Love => / => eternal punishment. God => eternal punishment =/= the truth. I.E. the believe that God punishes eternally is a lie.

6 답변As sinners, we are just as treasonous as Satan. But he offers us forgiveness. Those who are not repentant will be cast out. The word "Hell" comes from the Scandinavian word for "underworld". Christ uses the word "Hades" do describe the "place of the dead" multiple times. What we think of "hell" and the final judgment have become mixed up. Currently, we are in "the place of the dead" because we are born spiritually dead. Christ said "Let the dead bury the dead", meaning those that have not been Born Again are dead. As spiritual beings, we are eternal. Time is but a delay of the final judgment. Once it's time to be judged, time will be no more. Ya dig? All the passage of Job is saying that we as sinners deserve no good thing, and that it can be taken away from us at anytime and be justified. It also shows that Satan is under the power of God, and God still cares enough about him to teach him a lesson. I think God gives him the same chances he gives us. After all, would that not be just?

If there was a god. Probably. He seemed kinda like a dik in that bible story. Those kids calling the homeless baldy in old testament. An him unleashing bears on 42 of them...that was op. Or in Matthew when jesus was hungry and walked up to a fig tree and only found leaves. So he got all but hurt an used his super jeezy powers to make it never grow fruit again. Kind of a finicky protagonist. Not someone I want in control over my life. Plus add in all the misogyny, patricide, and child killing. Im good... I cant choose.to.ignore most parts of the bible like a convenience christian does. Those guys are truly hell bound. Spending your entire life bowing and.living in fear, and not eating rabbit or.pork...wait...American christians ignore that part.l too...cancel.the food bit But doing all that just to.find out your god.is.not how.you imagined...must be.hell
