Yes, Gjallarhorn is amazing but consider this, Gjallarhorn takes up an Exotic Slot. Both have tracking, and both have something similar to cluster bombs. If you have Hunger of Crota equipped, you can have a free exotic slot for Vex or whatever Exotic you have. Both are great rocket launchers. I have the Gjallarhorn but I have done Crota so many times and still haven't gotten Hunger of Crota.

Gjallarhorn is good in almost every situation including crota hard mode. (I'm pretty xur sold a healing helmet for every class now.) Healing (red death) is not going to be worth it when crota won't even go down. I'm not saying gjallarhorn is a must for hard mode. even I used to use hunger and truth for hard mode crota, but things go alot smoother having 3-4 gjallarhorns firing at crota and you can always switch to red death and shoot something at the right time. Playing roc strikes with 3 gjallarhorns is better than strikes with 3 vex and 3 hungers.

2 답변Whoever picked hunger of Crota are sad people that's in denial they don't have Gjallahorn. To say they are both good is an accurate statement but head-to-head who can argue that Gjallahorn isn't better than Hunger of Crota?

1 답변Ppl talk about "taking up an exotic slot?" You can easily push start and switch weapons. Lol.

It depends on the situation. If you just need high burst and nothing else matters, Gally will be the man. If you need to snipe shit, other things going on, trash mobs, then maybe you want hunger so you can have that exotic slot open for the encounter.

Gally does like double the damage of hunger. The only time you should be using hoc is if you are too lazy to switch if you're using another exotic, or PvP, or you obviously don't have gally and are using tracking. Both are useless in pvp.
