I am beginning to think that Bungie may have nerfed auto rifles too much especially in PvE. They seem to have gone into a kind of grey area where they are outclassed by other weapons and don't really even fill the medium range engagement role well. I think that they should look at a very small buff in PvP and a slightly larger buff in PvE. I don't have anything scientific, but they just feel underpowered now.
What do you guardians think?

My issue is that in a sense where it should be maybe 8-10 bullets to kill something, it takes a half to a full clip. I understand the distance issue and that autorifles are made for closer attack, but you should be able to kill multiple enemies in the same clip of 20-30 something rounds. It is completely insipid to have to shoot a whole clip while wiggling around to try to kill one enemy. PVP and PVE. Even giant autorifles are like small ass oozies now (the few weeks following the nerf). Yet the buff the pulse rifles which is essentially suppose to be for close quarters quick killing and kills with 2 shots (6 bullets) from a far off distance. Slightly ridiculous. My Suros and Vanquisher VIII are useless now.

1 답변작성자: ParasiticFilth 4/2/2015 2:23:21 PMDespite their incompetence and gaping design flaws with Destiny, Bungie has displayed their lack of acknowledgment when it comes to breaking a staple, fan favorite gun. Their arrogance in this department is staggering. It is the fans who keep this game going, not their lack of content, broken storyline, cheap DLCs that were part of the original game, intentional grind limitations, focus on 15% PVPers, late deadlines, and still broken raid mechanics. Yet, they cannot and will not listen to these people who unanimously say they broke the AR's. Why, because a spreadsheet said people aren't using the PR's. No shit! The gun was broken, a three year old could of figured that out. Not some pricy database system. Take that stupid database computer and hook it up to the PVP department to find out how many people using lag switching to win Crucible matches. Or just shove it up your asses.

The SUROS regime reminds me of what they did to the peacekeeper in Black Ops 2. When it was introduced, it was amazing. But too many people begun complaining about how overpowered it was and it was nerfed HEAVILY. It was still good, but nowhere near what it once was #Bungie should have no reason to nerf weapons along the lines of PvE performance. SUROS was my go to weapon before the AR nerf, now it sits in the vault, even though I purchased the upgrade to 331 from Xur, I just don't want to waste the time leveling it up. Not to mention Hard Light is trash now and I couldn't care less if Monte Carlo never showed up on Xbox this fall.

Yup. Bungie crew totally got wasted from the company cocktail bar and totally lost control at the late hours meeting where balancing weapons was discussed. The end result is everyone waking up on the floor of the office, remembering little of the evening beforehand, and the inexplicable AR nerf that we currently have. I have legendary Pulse Rifles in the medium impact archetype, with full auto, that critical for 32 damage each bullet in Crucible. They lay waste "compared" to AR's, they really do, I have a really great Vanquisher VIII AR, that the impact stat is approximately THREE times the size of the impact stat from the pulse rifle, and the Vanquisher criticals for 22-24 points in crucible dependent on range. They definitely went too far. They should have just buffed pulse rifles and adjusted HC range drop off. They say they also dropped of the SG range, but it certainly doesn't feel like it has, those particular SG's with the right rolls are still are sniper rifles. Is anything going to change? Probably not?

2 답변Nerf was way too big. And info about it was very misleading, close to a lie...........2.5%

Damn right! Auto rifles most definitely need a buff, as they have become extremely week, and almost pointless to use. It's quite a shame, especially for those of us who work hard to achieve them either through faction leveling, or gameplay itself. Bungie, buff auto rifles so that they aren't completely ineffective, as they are now.

1 답변작성자: BSAdidas 4/1/2015 11:52:00 PMI think they need to buff auto rifles back to where they were. They needed a range nerf not a damage nerf. They said they didn't want auto rifles to be used as snipers. Well what does that have to do with damage? Nothing. That has to do with range.

1 답변Auto rifles are the new pulse rifles. Vanquisher was my baby! I grinded patrol missions for an entire Saturday to get her...now she just sits in my vault...

3 답변I remember after the nerf I went and read the patch notes or whatever they were and bungie said they wanted auto rifles to be the close range visceral chainsaw. My first thought was did they even play test before they pushed out the update?

They should just do what they did with the shotgun, increase pve damage. Though it's a bit extreme in pvp as well at least it wouldn't be utterly useless compared to the other choices, hand cannon, scout and pulse rifle are all vastly more effective even with body shots, not to mention what they do if you can aim. The nerf has gone too far
