Edit: originally posted before matching on the weekly*
*the options mean you get to run it normal or with matchmaking enabled (many folks are missing that point)
------------------------------------
Myself- I'm all for the idea of matchmaking for these things..
But I know that there is a group of people out there who don't want the weekly nightfall or raids to be matchmaking.
-I don't completely understand why folks wouldn't want this? -after all. . I'd assume you could still run it as a regular team..
..only conclusion I can comprehend is: the players who've done it already. . Want to keep it like it was when they did it..
-are there any players who haven't done these events- that still don't want matchmaking?
Please enlighten me on this issue.
..because it would be nice to have that little bit of extra stuff to do (as a one man show)
What are your thoughts on this?
-------------
After a thousand replies it's clear. The people want options.
--------------
After two thousand replies, the evidence is overwhelming. Folks would support matchmaking- if it equipped with the appropriate options.
I would like to see you guys take some time to consider what options you think would be suitable for the raids specifically.
I've read every post and replied to most of them and this is what I've seen so far.
-Matchmaking or fire team
-Team size select (1-6) players
-Fire team lockout (stop others from joining)
-Language select / mic enabled
-Team vote to kick
-level select
-Number of completes
Also.. need to cap the amount of times one can complete it.. (once day ect)
Feel free to build upon this list- as I will continue to view and keep tabs on what you guys want.
*checkpoints need some attention in the idea department so if you Wana go off on that topic- feel fee.
* matchmaking lobbies or similar things I often see as suggested methods to get this done as an alternative to matchmaking

2 답변작성자: KayOsS882 9/3/2015 3:06:28 PMI honestly think there should be an easier way to talk to people than messaging them. Have a dedicated place in the tower where when you come up to a guardian and hit the "interact" button, you automatically connect to them via mic. That way you can talk to them directly and instantly to form a fireteam for raids or PvP. Or when youre patrolling you can hit interact with any guardian and that instantly receive a prompt live to join conversation. If not they can cancel or walk away. I jut hate that I have to go to a separate screen to initiate an invite or accept an invite.

1 답변Honestly I would use Matchmaking in my spare time to help newcomers understand raid mechanics. Since you would be at a higher chance of finding someone who has never done a raid with a Matchmaking system compared to something such as an lfg site. As long as we can turn it on/off, and use a Vote to Kick ability. I am all for it.

4 답변Have you solo queued vanguard strikes or iron banner? That's why. Well, just go in with a full fireteam you say... well heaven forbid one of your fireteam members gets kicked... then you're stuck with that one dumbass who captures A in shores of time stealing the relic to kill cursed thralls instead of using it for its intended purpose.

1 답변Server capacity. The servers are already straining do you think adding a matchmaking program with complicated algorithms will help??

2 답변Nightfall yes, I wouldn't mind it being matchmaking now that you don't get returned to orbit each time someone dies. Raids no, I don't think there should be mapmaking. Even for people with friends who do not play the game, it takes less than 2 mins to find a group on lfg. Its more of a team raid that you put together, not find.

1 답변The only reason I oppose matchmaking for raids or high level strikes such as nightfall a is because I love to see how far I can get on my own. It's easy enough to get a fireteam through these forums.

5 답변Okay for me I say no for a key reason. I want to control who I play with. I am not saying I don't want to play with any of you, but I can foresee many issues that may occur if there is a matchmaking option to raids and nightfalls. Now I am mostly not for raids, nightfalls aren't such a big deal. Current issues in raids even with a team. There's not guarantee that the team is ever perfect but you can avoid most of this easily. 1. Team gets to a part of the raid and suddenly they decide to goof off for an hour or two. This is okay if the whole team is okay with it. 2. Some players really can't get along with others. I had this experience once and it wasn't fun. Kind of goes along the bullying lines. 3. Team suddenly wants you to lead and decides not to listen to a word you say. 4. Player is drunk/high, spends half the time screaming into their mike and killing the team because they can't listen to instructions, let alone understand what they need to do. 5. People randomly leave for no reason - it's always a wonderful feeling when you need six and suddenly you have 5 at a crucial point. 6. Saboteurs. People who play with you but really just want to piss you and the team off by being a total tool. Now imagine these issues with a team that's randomly chosen for you that you need to communicate with. I would say 8-9 times out of 10 the team will be pretty good. But there will be a team that will make you want throw your controller at the tv. Personally I like my well organized group of friends who respect each other, and work well together. Additionally, the raid is an activity where communication is key, you want people on your team that you can communicate with and work well with, it's not guaranteed with ransoms.

1 답변Matchmaking for nightfall would be cool, as long as you can turn it of on your own. Trying to solo the nightfall is sometimes fun to do

2 답변I'm against it as it just isn't viable regardless of what others say. A big reason is people who would solely use MM would have awful times, then do nothing but bitch about how it's unfair and the raids should be nerf'd. Or I did "x" and I deserve (insert fatebringer, crux, vex, etc.) on my first try. Having said that though I did stumble on a rather good idea. Someone on a post 4-5 months ago talked about a vendor taking request in the towers. You'd either sign up or recruit players at this vendor. Guardians looking to join would drop in their names for what they were looking for and it would be active for an hour. I added to this saying it could and should easily show some stats. A few things that could be shown: - Gamertag - Level - Class and Subclass - Theme:(choose 2-3) Sherpa, All Experienced, All New, Don't Care, Here for Fun, etc. - Completions of said event - Number of times quit said event - Number of times inactive; avg. time - System generated "Exp" number - Community rating: helpfulness, experience, friendliness, inactive, unhelpful, trolling, etc. If Community rating wasn't filled out it'd assume that everything was positive. I would support this as it could help out a lot. If someone wants a kickass team they could get it. If someone wants to Sherpa they could find another and Sherpa 4 newbies through. If someone wanted to go in with all newbies like themselves it would be possible.

*optional matchmaking* Optional I'm cool with but be assured I will not be forced to play with anyone. I don't do the weeklies unless I have 2 friends. I have had so many ridiculously bad games with randoms in forced matchmaking who are either clueless, or who's play style is completely counter productive to my own.

1 답변Assuming this would be after ttk if it ever does happen, I would like a parameter for setting a minium light level as well, that way your not getting fake 40s with crappy stuff. Your teammates equipment is usually important, but I personally rather keep raids the way they are now.

2 답변Reasons to not match make: 1) people drop in and out to frequently 2) Too many afk'ers 3) playing as part of clan is awesome fun 4) you get a more cohesive team when you play with regulars 5) i think matchmaking encourages the idea of playing for the rewards or to just smash it out, rather than enjoying the game. I am undecided myself about this for raids. Just trying to think of reasons why it hasn't happened thus far.

1 답변People will be -blam!-ed over so hard if that's the case. People that can work their way around raids, and have experience, usually have their own fireteam they run with(like myself) the ones that don't have a fireteam, are obviously the ones that want match making. People need to understand that you need time and devotion to finish a raid. It's not something that be completed in 30min or less. If they were to integrate matchmaking, people would drop out so fast, until they found a team that will carry them. I would be so pissed.
