The numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 frequently recurred in Lost. Each corresponded with one of the final candidates to replace Jacob as protector of the Island. The numbers also formed the coefficients in an equation that predicted mankind's extinction.
History
Jacob and his brother, the Man in Black, lived on the Island for over two thousand years. During this time, the two engaged in a rivalry over the nature of humanity. Jacob brought people to the Island in order to test them and prove his view right. However, when it became clear that his brother planned to kill him, Jacob had new reason to summon castaways - to protect the Heart of the Island after his death and to kill the Man in Black. ("Across the Sea") ("Ab Aeterno") ("What They Died For")
Before drawing them, Jacob observed these candidates using a lighthouse. The lighthouse's mirrors displayed a different candidate's life with each degree that its dial turned. The numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 corresponded with what turned out to be the final six candidates: ("The Substitute") ("Lighthouse") ("What They Died For")

4 답변Umm are you stupid? It would fuel the fire even more. It is bad enough when people don't know if you did but if you made it obvious, there would be chaos all over the -blam!-ing place.

...I think it would cause more of the "you suck cos you bought your weapon from xur" as it would be obvious who had and who hadn't. If they did that it would be hours until the first "I got booted for having a xur weapon" thread

Then the thousands who purchased a Ghorn from Xur in week 2 would have a black one. And the noobs that get it from the cave would have the color ones. And when Xur sells Ghorn again there will be counterfeit beta week 2 players with black Ghorns that are really noobs. I am fully against this idea. I feel that all new Ghorn users should have a painting of a cave on the side of their Ghorn. And all Xur Ghorns should have, my 8IIIIIIIIID is bigger then yours text on the entire right side.

2 답변I've gotten every exotic that Xur has sold from RNG (and even a few he hasn't: Monte Carlo, 4th Horseman, Vex Mythoclast, Thunderlord, and Hawkmoon) and this is a terribly stupid idea. Why do you people really give a -blam!- where someone got their exotic from, honestly. It's a virtual item, bought with virtual currency in a game where literately nothing has any value what so ever, because there is no economy with the game. There is nothing that gives weapons values besides what you yourself place in them. You got a Red Death from RNG and another person Bought it from Xur? Are they any different? No. Did it suddenly make yours weaker by any means? No. The only reason anyone doesn't want a damn exotic sold or wants the ones Xur sold to be a different color is because they are a stuck up, elitist, snow-flake that is scared of losing their place on a fire team. Go back a few weeks when Hard Light was sold. How many people really bitched about that weapons being sold that had gotten it through RNG? None, because it wasn't as powerful as the other exotics like Ice Breaker, Suros, or Red Death. Going back further when Xur sold Red Death before it got buffed to where it is now no one bitched about it being sold. Then suddenly hard mode crota comes out and a few weeks later a weapon buff and suddenly it's nothing but "Bitch, Bitch, Xur sold red death. Bitch, Bitch, I earned my Red Death.". Where was all that bitching when it wasn't that useful or powerful? Sorry to say this, but if you have any issues with someone getting a virtual item in any fashion I think you need to re-evaluate your life.

I wouldn't mind Xûr selling weapons with different skins (though a completely colorless one would be boring) because it would give collectors something else to collect and still not impact gameplay except that it would just end up as something else for the anti-Xûr morons to discriminate against. As of right now, it's impossible to determine how a weapon was obtained other than asking, whereas you can tell if someone bought armor from Xûr by the stat roll. This wouldn't be an issue if not for idiots like the ones who were saying they wouldn't play with people with armor with certain stat rolls. I wouldn't be surprised to see "don't let people with Xûrned Gjallarhorns" posts flood the forums.

1 답변No. It doesn't matter how anyone gets a weapon in a game were drops are random. All that does is create false segregation umong the community for no good reason. Sorry if you need some phony status symbol of your luck.

2 답변Who cares snow flake? All I care about is that my fire tem members have the best possible loadout they can manage.

No. I would've never gotten two of the weapons I own without Xur and I have them all(Suros and IB). There is nothing wrong with ppl getting their weapons from him. Nothing is rare in this game anymore anyway. I'm glad other fireteam members have useful guns to help out. Let it go..Xur is a part of the game. No one is special when it comes to Exotics. If you want to be somewhat special grind out the factions and try to get the shaders and ships.
