So I finally got Thunderlord (my last exotic) and I'll be honest I'm not impressed.
I decided to level its perks and give it a few go around in the crucible. I'll be honest feel like Deviant Gravity A and Jolder's Hammer outgun it and don't use an exotic slot.
Someone please tell me what I'm missing and why people brag on this gun.
Also I'm mainly referring to PvP use.
Conclusion
Great in PVE nightfalls sub par on PvP compared to other low RoF high impact LMGs with good perks
Edit:
Good take aways
- speed increases the longer trigger is held (for me that's useful on bosses but not pvp)
- fast reload. Honestly it is sick crazy fast.
- chance for enemies to explode (useful in pve)
Edit:
I just realized that I've been spoiled by smart drift control on my Deviant Gravity A. The stability is insane on it making for super easy head shots. If Thunderlord had it then it would be my go to heavy.

2 답변Honestly I don't see the point of heavy supers. I get far more mileage out of exotic primaries or specials. But to each their own.

2 답변Firefly perk descent need a headshot to activate, also it can sometimes destroy hive wall of darkness with that perk, WOL, field scout and steady aim make short work of most bosses just great fun for pve

4 답변If your a PVP player your primary slot is probably going to be your exotic slot with either Thorn, The Last Word, Hawkmoon (PS4), or Red Death no that pulse rifles were buffed. I don't think I would waste the exotic on Thunderlord for PVP.

3 답변I prefer deviant gravity or against all odds with field scout and stability perks. Saves an exotic slot. The thunderlord is too unstable with field scout and dosent hold enough ammo with perfect balance.

1 답변Your take on it is dead on. It was my first exotic back at launch. People over-hype it like they over-hype everything that's rare. Only because it's rare and it makes us feel all warm and gooey inside like little snowflakes.

6 답변작성자: SmoggyPluto 3/28/2015 5:36:35 AMThat's why I said.. Smart Drift Control.. Rangefinder..Field..Crowd Control.. ..was the beast of JH roll.. tho many like the Aggressive... w/ Rodeo.. I hope.. JH stability is horrible to start.. ..Tho I still rather use my Deviant Gravity ( Warlock ) ... Was lucky from a Dead Orbit package to get this roll.. Question : Can someone tell me how much ammo you are given with the Jolders Hammer when picking up Heavy in PvP... with "Field Scout" and Heavy Ammo Armor..

It has the most balanced stats in the whole game with not 1 weak area...it 4 shots head or body in PvP and is extremely accurate with a 60 round mag, also you can if you want do a somewhat bug and use field scout when you grab heavy, and switch to Perfect balance after and still maintain a 60 round mag. The faster shooting and explosive is used mostly in PvE but that gun is Top Tier in both PvE and PvP. You have to have an absolute perfect roll on any other LMG to match it or make it slightly better for PvP only. But honestly from a PvP standpoint what did you want it to be? a 2 shot kill? or something else broken?

Yeah, as great as it can be for PVE (arc burn especially of course), I used my Zombie Apocalypse in PVP instead - good stability perks and fast reload, low RoF high Impact, and didn't spend my exotic slot. Earlier today my second Thunderlord dropped, and I wish I could say I was pleased...but will probably just shard it now that vault management actually exists.

I think I'm in the same boat as you. On ps4 I have 3 lvl 32 and all be guns so my thunderlord has never used. But on x1 I have very few weapons and thunderlord was the best choice for exotic because in iron banner being lvl 27-29 on my chars I was still able to wreck with it. It's also good in pve too but just depends on what you have to use already
