“I’ll make a bet with you,” Robertson said. “Two guys break into an atheist’s home. He has a little atheist wife and two little atheist daughters. Two guys break into his home and tie him up in a chair and gag him. And then they take his two daughters in front of him and -blam!- both of them and then shoot them and they take his wife and then decapitate her head off in front of him. And then they can look at him and say, ‘Isn’t it great that I don’t have to worry about being judged? Isn’t it great that there’s nothing wrong with this? There’s no right or wrong, now is it dude?’”
Robertson kept going: “Then you take a sharp knife and take his manhood and hold it in front of him and say, ‘Wouldn’t it be something if this [sic] was something wrong with this? But you’re the one who says there is no God, there’s no right, there’s no wrong, so we’re just having fun. We’re sick in the head, have a nice day.’”
“If it happened to them,” Robertson continued, “they probably would say, ‘something about this just ain’t right.
He's saying: What is right and wrong if their is no purpose to live other than to live? If God exists, then morality is justified because good and evil exist. If there is no good and no evil, then there is no such thing as right and wrong. You have to acknowledge good and evil to acknowledge the concept morality. Without a source of good and a source of evil there can not be good and evil.
Mind fuk.
Well to be fair, a lack of God doesn't mean a lack of morals or conscience. It's a retarded story. Also, as mentioned before "God" was pretty damn accepting of those things in the Old Testament, so it does make sense it's Christians doing that.

1 답변Fix the link or the quote means nothing. Not saying you're lying but that's the way it is.

I don't need religion to define morality for me, I can think for myself and deduce right from wrong. It's society as a whole which determines normal and abnormal behavior anyway, not some book that's been edited repeatedly over 2,000 years. As non-believers, we acknowledge our wrong doings and live with our regrets. Christians on the other hand can murder people, but so long as they repent/confess their sins they can be forgiven and walk away with a clear conscience.

the universe does not give two shits about what happens on this planet. it does not care if the earth -blam!-ing exploded. WE -blam!-ing care about right and wrong. WE determine what is right and what is right and wrong. religion is not a pre-requisite for ethics and morals, fundies are desperate to cling to existence and thus continue making claims that they are necessary. also, duck dynasty is the -blam!-ing gutter of entertainment. lemonparty > duck dynasty

Not following them has no true negative effects upon those who break them. The guys who basically lead the charge in favor of atheism all agree with that fact. By following an invention of human delusion, you're no better than those who worship made up gods. At least religious people try to add an actual reason to follow moral laws.
