What does Xur do with our strange coins?
This question has got to be on people's minds, it's quite simple. Xur what do you do with the strange coins we give you? ( anyone who answers with the most imaginative answer has the chance to win $20 in PSN or XBL gift cards. )

The answer is as obscure as the origin of the Nine... They could be payment to the alien intelligence that protected the cis-Jovian colonies. Or materials for growing the deep-orbit Warminds that survived the collapse. Or food for the ancient leviathan intelligences on Europa and Titan.

Xur was born to be an agent of the nine. However he does not truly want to partake in Nine activities. Therefore he chose to act as their vendor. He shops on dBay and finds great deals on weapons and armor and then sells them to guardians for a profit to benefit the nine's missions. However, he secretly pockets a couple hundred so he can visit the queen in the reef every week. He brings her exclusive fallen gear. After her first arrival at the tower he signed an exclusive contract that she will only provide her items to him. That is why she doesnt come to the tower anymore. By doing so xur is helping to create a monopoly for his goods. He pays part of the strange coin profits to the tower vendors secretly so they dont sell exotics. However... anyone who leaks this info risks death. So take this info and remember it but be careful who you tell. I will see you in the afterlife guardians!

Another agent of the nine puts one after another on there face tentacles then uses them as some sort of anal bead on xur, the vibrations cause xur to orgasm shooting exotics out of his face penis tentacles, he then sells these back to us to fuel his vibrating face tentacle anal bead addiction. For him to sell the ghorn again he needs the other agent to put 2 tentacles in at once but last time this happened the other agent forgot the safety word and xur's still building up the confidence to try again

He saves them up each week and every Thursday he buys a load of crap of some shifty guy lurking in a corner somewhere and then he rocks up at the tower on Fridays selling his crap to us for even more strange coins.

Since he's a trash collector for the nine, I think he uses his strange coins to buy more junk. My guess he is developing a new exotic weapon to sell. When he isn't so busy working and selling stuff on the weekend, he's busy at the strip club getting drinks and lap dances from the ladies. 5 strange coins for every lap dance and 2 coins for a drink.

2 답변Before Xûr, before the Reef monarchy came into place, before even the collapse; we had cities flourishing on Jovian celestial bodies. Due to the sun not being able to reach these locations, a new form of renewable energy was designed to replace solar cells. The magnetic cell, a small coin shaped battery using 2 negative magnetic fields to cancel eachother out and produce energy. Almost as effective as nuclear power. They were a beautiful innovation, some made it to the inner worlds at high price, and when the collapse came many used them as emergency batteries for vehicles, weapons, and security systems. When the Nine came into consciousness they knew that to gain control they would need to power the Jovian Beacons, but the behemoth machines required power beyond their access, they called upon the Reef for help but not even the engines of the great colony ships could power the beacon. Some of the nines' agents got ahold of the Strange Coins (MagnetiCells) and the nine demanded more, billions and billions would be needed for each beacon, Agents of the Nine spread across the Inner Worlds to find more, they bartered valuables they had acquired from the Nine, who In turn got some from the Reef. Xûr only wisjes to please his shadowy overlords with these rare cells.

3 답변The 'strange coins' could have multiple uses. The most obvious would be that they're some kind of currency that is used by the Jovians (Xûrs species) but that's kinda un-creative. One idea is that the nine are actually the old warminds that defended the sol system from the darkness, and if this is the case then them needing coins doesn't make much sense, unless if the coins aren't actually coins but instead some sort of power source which would explain why Xûr needs so many but I personally don't think this is the reason. My personal opinion delves into some of destiny's other lore, to be exact the 'mind transfer' technology used in the golden age to allow people to transfer all there memories into a machine to allow for 'immortality' and if I'm right then the strange coins would be the 'hard drive' to store the memories in. Another possibility is that they're just used for vibrating things (like in your video game controller) which would be interesting. :)

2 답변In a far away universe from the tower. There are multiple galaxies in which in a specific outer space location out there one will find the nine. The nine's location is in constant change because the nine are a group of scholars that have mastered the understanding of matter. Each one of the nine have a different role regarding matter, but xur being unique doesn't bound himself with one understanding of matter. Regarding to xur, xur is the newest member to the nine. Xur has an increasing interest in developing gear for mercenaries/guardians. The nine have always had a problem with fuel to maintain their mothership traveling around multiple universes. Xur with trial and error formed an element , called strange coins, that solved the problem for constant fuel. Xur prior to forming strange coins. He traveled to planet earth. Where he grew fond of earthlings. Xur disguised himself as a mercenary during a time of war. He experienced that the gear soldiers were using was greatly weak in all areas. Xur started sketching & designing different style types of gear. Also, in search for a material solution while on earth. Xur found the necessary material which was real life money that just need to be welded to create a new currency. Which also solved the nine problem of fuel. Enjoy..

What if the coins are a way to resurrect the warminds? Perhaps an energy source or each one containing a portion of the source code to reboot them. He might be attempting to gather enough so that he can bring them all back online...
