So I just got crypt dweller and another nitc today from the nightfall.
They have good perks for both pvp and pve but idk how to use scout rifles. Can someone tell me the basics, cos it is a little uncomfortable cos i use thorn all the time. Im planing on sateriene rapier.
Edit: thank you all for your answers!

Scout favorites will vary mostly by perks, fire rate, mag size, and impact Only way to tell is to level them up and see what you personally like short story on Crypt Dweller/NITC - Crypt Dweller is a high ROF (for scout) fairly small mag but crazy fast reload - Another Nitc is slower but has a bigger mag (huge with field scout) - I have 2 of these, one is pretty standard and the other has great perks including firefly I've had a Sateriene Rapier and leveled it up, gave it a good try and due to vault cramping it didn't end up being a keeper but it had no perks that made it special - like I said perks can make about any gun "meh..." or darn near exotic

Keep your distance when you can. Use it like a fast acquiring sniper rifle, lower mag size so have to make bullets count. Doesn't take long once you get some kill time in. I like watching heads explode from a distance. Love all mine Mida (when i can run a exotic), Badger (firefly, zen moment, and high caliber) for legendary. Have a Sat Rapier that i still use now and again. Bline Trauma i liked but sharded cause of bad perks. Really looking forward to getting the Fang from crota.

What perks are on the two different rifles? That helps determine how to use them. I like the Saterriene Rapier as a poster below noted. I recently got a Crypt Dweller with the firefly perk. I really like the Crypt Dweller for it's higher fire rate than other scouts. Scout rifles are used for precision kills and if you have firefly, each precision kill causes the target to explode like a grenade, damaging or killing nearby enemies.
