Has anyone at Bungie ever fired a Pistol?
Anything farther than 50 yards your not going to be able to hit a moving target 3 or 4 shots in a row, your not going to be able to out gun a scout rifle or sniper rifle from all the way across the map with your Hawkmoon.
Hand Cannons have gotten dumb, fix the range......
So worried about auto rifles and shot guns, meanwhile this junk is silly.

oh yes, it's sci-fi fantasy. Therefor several people seem to think that it is a good idea that range is absolutely irrelevant, and weapons designed to shoot across the map like scout and sniper rifles, should just be tossed in the trash as we all adopt the Hawkmoon or Thorn for essentially every battle tactic? Because no one at Bungie has ever caught on fire and done a Scorch Melee, lets just abandon any premis of weapon believability.

And a hand cannon technically shoots 50 caliber rounds. So you technically have a mini sniper rifle in your hands. If you havent niticed the size of the hand cannn on your character.

If this was realistic then we wouldn't have double jump or supers or fusion rifles or arc/axion/fire bolt grenades or other "special" grenades or sparrows or pikes or interceptors or the darkness or relics or bosses or blink or shoulder charge or class specific abilities or invisibility and my other things i didnt say. I used a lot of or's cuz i felt like it. So get the fuçk out with "a gun cant hit a long distance target for 2-3 times in a row wah wah" thats bullshît, this is a game. Learn the difference.

And by your logic every auto rifle should shoot like payback sos without a stability upgrade.

The problem is that you are forgetting that this is a game. It is not real life. The problem is not that it is sci-fi fantasy, the problem is that a game is supposed to be fun. This game is not meant to be realistic because it is supposed to be fun to take on enemies with your primaries. The secondary is supposed to be used only in certain situations. So while your assumptions about gun ranges might not be wrong, they are irrelevant to the medium at hand. Or do you really think than any map that exists in Destiny would be too large for a real world sniper rifle to cover? Do not think too much about it. If you have to run up to every enemy it will stop being fun.

4 답변What about shotguns? They have an effective range of 50 meters or 300 meters with a slug. You really want them to be realistic? PvP would be a complete shotty fest. Nothing else would be worth using.

If we are going with realism, I guess we are getting rid of fusion rifles. And I guess we will have all the guardians in the game go down to kill Crota. And our perks on armor are all negated, due to realism. The problem is that some players want the types of guns that they know, to work like the are supposed to in other games, instead of letting Bungie do their own thing.

Unlike some of the haters, i agree, i have been saying the same thing, and effective ranges of shotgun vs pistol ... In their defense though, there are pistols good out to longer ranges. My desert eagle was shootable to 200 meters, though only with a scope and prep, def not on the fly
