Ok so purebreeds are nice and all but I would recommend looking into rescue dogs. My dog axle we got from a pet store but he was a rescue from a kill shelter, he is the nicest and sweetest dog I've ever had, he does bark at the door when someone knocks but that's fine, he almost never seems to run out of energy either lol. There's tons of them out there in need of good homes, and while you may not get the perfect purebred dog that you're looking for, that's not necessarily a bad thing since a lot of purebred can be prone to health issues (depends on the breed, natch). That said, I have a huuuge soft spot for German Shepards, since I grew up with one most of my childhood and teen years. Wonderful dogs, smart, loyal, protective but friendly...only reasons against them are their size if your place is tiny, and you do need to spend time brushing them year-round since they shed constantly. Also they're not good to keep outside if you live in a hot place. I'll also put in a vote for pugs, in large part because we have one now and he's amazing. A total nervous spaz and not very well socialized, but fiercely loyal and protective, especially of my son. Pugs though, honestly, unless you get one from a reputable breeder, I wouldn't get one except as a rescue (ours is). They've got a lot of health issues -nasal and respiratory, from having such short noses, hip dysplasia, and they overheat very fast- and because they're so popular for their looks, there's been a lot of puppy mill operations that have messed up the genetics. Still though, love the little nut cases.

The others I wouldn't even bother with. Shepherds are nice but are being bred with extreme features that cause health problems down the line (spinal issues). Unless you're going to import one, I'd stay away. Beagles are cute but can be absolutely crazy. I'd never get one. If this is your first dog, a Dachshund is a good way to go.

1 답변Get a Labrador. Relatively easy to train and great family dogs. Out of your list I'd definitely go for the golden retriever.
