So here we are Bungie. 7 months into Destiny, a decent SciFi shooter with some hybrid characteristics, and a great co-op hook. Now, it's no mystery that the game has problems, and we know you are working on them. So let me make your job simple.
The latest complaint that you acknowledged was that players are quitting strikes to often. There is an incredibly easy way for you to fix this.
Incentive.
Do an update that gives bonuses for completing strikes without quitting.
10 Strikes = Legendary Engram
25 Strikes = Legendary Item (Weapon or Armor) plus Legendary Engram.
50 Strikes = 5 Strange Coins, 5 Motes of Light, and 2 Legendary Engrams.
100 Strikes = Exotic Engram
Now realistically, at 10 minutes average a strike, that's roughly 17 hours (rounded) of gameplay. In my opinion, 17 hours is more than enough to deserve an Exotic Engram.
If someone quits, it will reset their progress. As well, to prevent people from just farming the 10 Strikes reward, implement a system where quitting makes the next set of Strikes require 5 more completes (15,30,55,105) and then (20,35,60,110), and so on and so forth. As well, implement another small sensor that can determine if the disconnect was error related, or intentional, to prevent RTO issues from stealing away a persons hard work.
At 100 completes, the game will recycle and start over at 1. Not only will this increase gains in Vanguard Strikes, it will stop people from wanting to quit, and give us something other than PURE RNG, but rewarded RNG, similar to Weekly Heroic Strikes, where the drop is guaranteed.
This would be a win/win for you, and for us. And to the community, please lend me your support. With enough attention, they will notice this idea, as they have noticed other ideas. Bump this, share this with friends, and copy and paste the link to this forum in as many others as you can. Thank you all, and have a great night.

***Edit 1***
To all the people saying it would make more people be idle, who cares, its already an issue anyways. Check it, make it to where any players still in the spawn grid after 5 minutes will be returned to Orbit, like in Crucible. Problem solved.
The 100 strikes would reset bi-weekly or monthly most likely. And who cares if people just skipped to the end, they do that now anyways. So it would literally change nothing.
For the people who misinterpreted the part where I said consecutively, I didn't mean all in a row, just consecutive completes without quitting. You'd have all week to do the 100 strikes.

***Edit 2***
For those confused, you would still get the regular rare engram's after each strike. As well, in the event life happened, just turn off your console, no harm no foul. And yes, I realize people could just do this to quit Strikes anyways, but by the time they'd re-logged in to Destiny and launched matchmaking again, they probably could have been almost done with the strike they quit lol.
Maybe make the reset for the Strikes 1 month, for those who work and have families that take away time. And make it a once a month only reward, so the "try hards" can't farm off of this idea.
***Edit 3***
For those saying people would just dashboard, power off console, etc, you are both right and wrong. This would become a natural deterrent very quickly. How may dashboards will it take before you become annoyed? Until the load screens burn you out, and you realize you're wasting more time dashboarding than its worth. Eventually, people will just give in and suck it up.

2 답변If you quit just have the strike not count. And you must complete the strike to get the point.

1 답변작성자: FoD DiStUrBeD 3/16/2015 10:36:22 PMQuite like the idea of this! Still do the ROC strikes despite having 3 32s. I run them purely for the chance of any exotics I'm after so this would definitely get me running through them more.

3 답변Why the heck would you even want to do 100 vanguard strikes? I think I would be close to suicide.

4 답변100 strikes should reset whenever you finish them not a set date. If someone grinds 200 strikes in a week whos to say he shouldnt get another exotic? It would also work for people who dont play that often.

3 답변No, this further complicates the issue which is loot. What should be done is a loosening of the weights each particular item tier has. There are a few people who have taken the time to denote exactly what dropped for them each strike over the course of their Destiny "career". It has been shown that the current drop rate on legendaries from both post game rewards and in game drops is about 10%, with exotics being about 1%. I propose a much simpler solution: Legendary engrams and items drop at a 20% rate, Exotics at 10-5%. Engrams no longer decode into materials, but will always decode into an item specified by the engram. Exotic armor engrams decode based on the class who is decoding it (no more Titan exotics decoded on your Warlock).

11 답변I would not change it that way, all they need to do is just bump up the percentages of engrams/ships. What it needs to have is a bonus for faction/vanguard rep. Every 5 strikes you get a significant extra rep amount. It would not stack but every 5 strikes you would get 250 rep (with nightfall bonus) honestly engrams and ships should not be the only legendary rewards also. The strike playlist should drop rerolled vanguard weapons and armor. Same as the crucible

12 답변작성자: bilbo t baginzz 3/16/2015 7:46:20 PMYour post is invalid due to the fact people quit raids because they dont want to carry people who just sit there. The other day i sat at spawn next to 3 different guys in 3 different roc strikes till they came back or picked up there controller.. also i get legendary engrams all the time from rocs
