So here we are Bungie. 7 months into Destiny, a decent SciFi shooter with some hybrid characteristics, and a great co-op hook. Now, it's no mystery that the game has problems, and we know you are working on them. So let me make your job simple.
The latest complaint that you acknowledged was that players are quitting strikes to often. There is an incredibly easy way for you to fix this.
Incentive.
Do an update that gives bonuses for completing strikes without quitting.
10 Strikes = Legendary Engram
25 Strikes = Legendary Item (Weapon or Armor) plus Legendary Engram.
50 Strikes = 5 Strange Coins, 5 Motes of Light, and 2 Legendary Engrams.
100 Strikes = Exotic Engram
Now realistically, at 10 minutes average a strike, that's roughly 17 hours (rounded) of gameplay. In my opinion, 17 hours is more than enough to deserve an Exotic Engram.
If someone quits, it will reset their progress. As well, to prevent people from just farming the 10 Strikes reward, implement a system where quitting makes the next set of Strikes require 5 more completes (15,30,55,105) and then (20,35,60,110), and so on and so forth. As well, implement another small sensor that can determine if the disconnect was error related, or intentional, to prevent RTO issues from stealing away a persons hard work.
At 100 completes, the game will recycle and start over at 1. Not only will this increase gains in Vanguard Strikes, it will stop people from wanting to quit, and give us something other than PURE RNG, but rewarded RNG, similar to Weekly Heroic Strikes, where the drop is guaranteed.
This would be a win/win for you, and for us. And to the community, please lend me your support. With enough attention, they will notice this idea, as they have noticed other ideas. Bump this, share this with friends, and copy and paste the link to this forum in as many others as you can. Thank you all, and have a great night.

***Edit 1***
To all the people saying it would make more people be idle, who cares, its already an issue anyways. Check it, make it to where any players still in the spawn grid after 5 minutes will be returned to Orbit, like in Crucible. Problem solved.
The 100 strikes would reset bi-weekly or monthly most likely. And who cares if people just skipped to the end, they do that now anyways. So it would literally change nothing.
For the people who misinterpreted the part where I said consecutively, I didn't mean all in a row, just consecutive completes without quitting. You'd have all week to do the 100 strikes.

***Edit 2***
For those confused, you would still get the regular rare engram's after each strike. As well, in the event life happened, just turn off your console, no harm no foul. And yes, I realize people could just do this to quit Strikes anyways, but by the time they'd re-logged in to Destiny and launched matchmaking again, they probably could have been almost done with the strike they quit lol.
Maybe make the reset for the Strikes 1 month, for those who work and have families that take away time. And make it a once a month only reward, so the "try hards" can't farm off of this idea.
***Edit 3***
For those saying people would just dashboard, power off console, etc, you are both right and wrong. This would become a natural deterrent very quickly. How may dashboards will it take before you become annoyed? Until the load screens burn you out, and you realize you're wasting more time dashboarding than its worth. Eventually, people will just give in and suck it up.

I'm at the point in the game where legendary engrams are meaningless. I don't even pick them up as they just end up in the mail anyways. I would quit Omnigal every time even if a guaranteed legendary engram was waiting for me at the end. You want people to not quit strikes make them engaging and not so damn boring and repetitive. I don't need loot I need a good time, something the current strike list fails to offer.

2 답변10 strikes for a legendary engram? Sign me up, in fact, make it level 30 so we can both be happy. Level 30 strikes are great.

1 답변Quitting strikes isn't even a problem XD they're doable as a solo player easily... Weeklies though are sumthing that it can be very annoying in doing though

The only thing u gaurenteed is currency. Strange coins and glimmer. Just a side note:
they are not getting rid of RNG.the gambling aspectof the game is what makes the game addictive. The risk of doing it for something or nothing. The feeling of not knowing what you are going to get. It's a rush for those who play
5 답변Not enough incentive for me not to quit stupid strikes, lol. Realistically, there is no incentive at all for me to ever do a strike period. Glad you're happy though.

2 답변I'm ... I run 10 - 15 now and get an exotic. I've also noticed the more I chain them, the more I see legendary. I think the incentives are already there.
-
1 답변I like this idea. Yes, it will create more afkers, but all they need to do there is have a two minute AFK at the beginning to kick them.
-
1 답변People quit because of two reasons: getting the same strike twice in a row, or hating particular ones like Valus or Omnigul. We need more variety here, there's only like 4 strikes that are good and at this point we've run them so many times its kind of not fun anymore

1 답변Amazing Idea 9/10 The one thing I would change is the amount of strikes it takes to get an exotic engram. And I am confused when you say "when they do 10 strikes they will get a legendary engram." Is it every 10 or just 10 then 25 then 100
-
3 답변You're at 99 strikes? Cool. Kicked. Start over loser. Or worse yet, attack of the zoo codes.

1 답변That would be great, but theres also the issue of getting the same strike multiple times in a row or very close together.

1 답변작성자: Rytsary1 3/18/2015 10:17:40 PMSo you pretty much want to kill off crucible? As of now you get more from strikes, throw in exotic engrams, legendaries and coins and crucible could potentially become a ghost town.

1 답변Progression rewards sound like a great addition to the strike playlists. *enthusiastic thumbs up*
-
2 답변Yeah, but one suggestion: the exotic reward should be a choice of three, like bounties: when it drops, you go to the postmaster and you get a choice between something like: Heavy engram Chest engram Primary engram Or some other selection. It would make rng a lot less harsh for people who grinded out 100 strikes looking for a certain item.

1 답변This is a great idea, kind of like how exp worked in Halo back in the old days. You quit you lose exp, you win you get exp.
